I feel well taken care of, and the food is fantastic. Everything is fresh, flavourful and their dish presentation is very appealing. There are definitely more option for celiacs nowadays, most of Fables's dishes are gluten free.

We didn't love the canned tuna, but we did love everything else. The fries were hands down the best I've ever eaten anywhere. The duck was so good, I wanted to lick the plate. Heavenly gnocchi. Even the grilled cheese sandwich was top notch.

We live in the neighbourhood and frequent Fable for brunch and dinner. The menu changes often and also has many favourite staples. Excellent, friendly service. Meals always arrive in a timely manner. It is definitely busy during peak hours and days such as on the weekend, so prepare to wait to be seated. You won't be disappointed.

The little glass pot of tuna alone is worth the visit. The service was friendly and not too over the top. Privacy was respected.

Very disappointed, food ok, service ok, price to high for what you get. The place is nice. I will wait a while before I go back

Sorry to hear this luke warm response to lunch. The only thing I will assure is that the food is value priced for the quality and time that goes in to it. I would love more details on what equated to 'ok' food and service and being very disappointed. We really do use these details to do what we can... More

Recently enjoyed an amazing meal with friends. Services was excellent. All the dishes we tried were wonderful. Restaurant books up early ... so make a reservation.

I have visited Fable for lunch but this was my first brunch and it was outstanding. The pulled pork and Johnny cakes with the tomato jam and pickled jalapeños was a fantastic combination. Service was excellent. I would not hesitate to return for Brunch.

Took a group of 8 here for dinner. Everything was perfect. Service was top shelf. Had a prix fixe menu due to size. Great selection. Dessert was a compellation of all of their desserts and was the highlight of the meal. Wine/Beer selection was very good. Definitely would recommend and go back.

The menu doesn't look like much at first glance, canned tuna? Wow a little hot pot mason jar filled with fresh warm tuna, spices, jam?,just unbelievable ..meatballs that had an unexpeccted hard exterior but once broken into tasted scrumptious. Specials were incredible. Deserts spectacular. I've been back 4 times in 2 weeks....mmmmmmm

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
