My sister brought me here for a birthday lunch. Walk from her home on Granville Isl. We did not drink alcohol, so cannot recommend that. Food was good, not excellent. We were not particularly impressed with service. I thought was slow. Obviously they have more servers for dinner hours. Trip was ok. Not sure if I would return.

Great wine and beer list. All of our food was delicious. We had a pizza and a chicken sandwich and salads. Servers were welcoming and friendly.

My friend and I stopped here for my last dinner while in Vancouver. I started off with a beer flight. The beer flight was the best one I have ever ordered in North America. This is because you get 5 samples of whatever beer you like and it is served on a chilled plate with glass holders slots (numbered 1-5).... More

The food & beer was very good served in a relaxed atmosphere - it was crowded on a Sun., but we never felt rushed

This is a great location right on false creek. The service was excellent, we were in a large group. The drinks were very good and lots of choices. I didn't find the food to be anything special. The menu was quite limited. I had pad Thai, I have had better in a mall food court. It was so sour it... More

If you're out for a pint and want to watch a game, this is your place. There are plenty of TV's and huge variety of beer. Had the quac and salsa and loved it. Portions were a bit small, but the food was tasty.

We went as a family for snack and a beer after a busy day. Was easy to get a table and service was normal. Appetizers were as per standard fair. Was what you would expect. This is a favorite spot fr our 28 year old son and financee

I've been to Tap & Barrel several times in the past four years. It was the first restaurant to open in the Olympic Village, and for awhile had a monopoly. They still have the best location, with the best views of False Creek. They also have a good selection of beers on tap. Unfortunately the food is mediocre at best,... More

A bunch of us came here after the run for the cure. I would say over 30 of us for lunch. Pretty much took up half of the upstairs section. The staff were very accommodating. Good beers, good food and excellent service. We stayed for a few hours...actually 6, and racked up a pretty hefty bill. Lots of smiling faces,... More

The outside dining area with heaters was quite warm, in a nice location with a great water view. Excellent service and nice thick beef patty on the burger. The best part was a large selection of local brewery offerings.

Staying in Southeast False Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
Southeast False Creek
Developed alongside the Vancouver Olympic Village for the 2010 Winter Games, a past fraught with hardship has recently been overcome, and builders are changing the landscape on the ground of Southeast False Creek at a rapid pace. With waterfront dining, ultra-modern facilities, sports stadiums, and a load of greenery, parks, and rest spots built into the ever-changing infrastructure, it's a fast-paced and mutable spot to see Vancouver taking shape and making history. It is especially popular for the casual sportsman, as the Seawall on the water makes for one of the most scenic locations for cycling or roller-blading, jogging or strolling.
