The food is OK but can be a little over salted sometimes. The item that is very good is the deep fried breaded and bacon wrapped softboiled egg. I would recommend this as a appetizer very highly. Everything else is to each person's taste.

Everything we ordered from start to finish was impeccably delicious. Great local craft beers and wines! Amazing locally inspired food! Service was friendly and relaxed. The decor is intimate and inviting! Wish we lived in Vancouver so we could go back!

Went to Tuc for brunch this morning! Great atmosphere! Few good brunch options on the menu but be aware there is no flexibility at all. My friend is gluten free so she asked for potatoes instead of sourdough toasts. Answer: sorry we can't do any substitution on the menu. My partner asked for eggs poached medium hard. Answer was: sorry... More

Very good customer service. Food was delicious! Had the toasted coconut old fashioned and brisket sandwich which were both very good! Highly recommend this little spot.

We visited Tuc Craft Kitchen for an early dinner and cocktails. We arrived at 5:30 and our excellent server allowed us to order four of the lovely retro cocktails and two appetizers from their happy hour menu. She served our drinks at reasonable intervals, although it was after happy hour before we were ready for the second round. We got... More

We came here for brunch with a group of 7 girls and 2 toddlers. The atmosphere was nice; rustic modern, open bar area. Menu was interesting, lots of unique choices from the usual brunch menu. It was busy but we were able to make a reso and the host was accommodating. Our server was very sweet and nice. Everything was... More

From the patrons to the menu to the general vibe, you could be in any hipster haven in cities around the world, but this was not Brooklyn, it was Vancouver. The bar, wood on the walls and lamps gave it an unmistakably Western saloon feel and the delicious, slightly quirky food matched the overall effect. Tuc calls itself a “craft... More

Third time at Tuc and always a good experience. The meals are unique but varied enough that there are suitable choices for those that don't like wild game or bone marrow. The food is "crafted" much as the restaurant name implies. Portions could be described as modest (some would say small), but for the most part the prices are equally... More

Shared the lamb kofta. An excellent beginning to an excellent meal. We had the elk saltimbocca and the beef al forno. Both were amazing. The parsnip fries were yummy. A very good wine list at very good prices. The Cameron Hughes Cabernet Sauvignon was just perfect ($60). Definitely a place to go back to.

This is just a great place overall from the ambiance, to the food, drinks and service. I can't compliment the service enough, the recommendations were spot on. Cocktails were very well done, and of course every dish was fantastic. Would highly recommend the elk dish.

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
