The pho here was extremely bad! The beef is old and almost burned like they have reused old beef over and over. It tasted like the meat had gone bad. The waitress insisted it's bc there is no msg and I can't believe she said...that is how the beef is regularly served. It cost $13 and I did not take note than one bite and she refused to take it off the bill and did not offer me anything else. Don't waiste you money here. Over priced, bad service, rude waitress- and really bad pho!!More

The food we had was ok. The beef brisket banh mi was good. My wife didn't like the sauce. Otherwise tasty. The spicy chicken wings were kicky but a bit scrawny. The veggie soup was spicy and good.

This place has good food and service. A nice small patio area I just wish they could serve liquor on the patio. I love their Pho. Everyone at our table enjoyed what they had. Very reasonable.

We shared the $28 appetizer plate last evening and found everything to be bland. The spring rolls were pretty tasteless as was the fish sauce to dip them in. The "no chicken" dumplings (what the heck is that about anyway? why advertise what is not...in the dumplings?) were again boring/tasteless. The salad rolls were over-sized and tasteless again: while there appeared to be some shrimp in them it was actually very thin slices of shrimp. Quite frankly I cannot be bothered to continue writing more about the food in this place. Do not go here. If you want good good Vietnamese food go to Edmonton where a large potion of Vietnamese refugees went in the '70's. There are some top notch Vietnamese places Like Quan's or Dang Good...........oh, now I think I have to go back.......More

Great food and service. We had the prawn salad rolls and lemongrass chicken sandwich. Sat outside on their little patio. Would definitely eat here again!

I can't remember the last time I was so disappointed in a meal. Having had Vietnamese food in half a dozen countries I've come to expect really tasty, nourishing, interesting food. We each got the "lunch combo" - one of us with the Tiger Prawn...and one with the Lemongrass Chicken. Wow. Could not believe what was served. The plate had a HUGE mound of white rice - easily 1.5 cups on each of our plates. Then about 1/3 of the plate was taken up by a nondescript green salad with a few strands of carrot and cucumber - sans any dressing I could detect. Four rather hard "spring rolls" that were over-fried and more wrapping than filling with a nondescript "dipping sauce" in a little plastic cup. Finally, the "main" was almost undetectable: a small mound of chicken - no lemongrass flavor at all - on one plate. The other had six small shrimp completely hidden between the huge mound of rice and the salad so at first we thought they'd forgotten to put them on. And they WERE small shrimp - by no stretch of the imagination could they be mistaken for "Tiger Shrimp" - with no sauce or flavoring at all. $15.95 plus tax and tip? Our two "combos" with one beer cost $45. I've had better meals in train stations. The service was - at best - haphazard. It seemed every table I saw, one person would be served - the other would wait. Wait. Wait. Finally getting their meal. We were no different. Cannot imagine why anyone would ever return here after one experience. I'm giving it Two Stars because at least it was clean.More

Newly renovated this is a great spot in Yaletown for a good bowl of Pho and perhaps a Lemon grass Vietnamese sub. I have visited this establishment countless times and it’s always consistent!

We live in the area. Have eaten here a few times and always been unhappy. Tonight took a take-out order of deep fried wontons (looked like poop) and pork. Go elsewhere would be my suggestion.

The restaurant is not huge but it has personality! This incredible mural is painted along the back wall separating the diners from the kitchen. The decor is simple but classy with a touch of foodie fun. Their Happy Hour deal is quite incredible. You get...three items off their eight-item menu for just $12. What a fantastic deal. I got their Prawn & Pork Salad Roll with their peanut sauce. I LOVE that peanut sauce. OMG, delicious!!! Everything was so fresh and clean, no MSG… If this is the mini Pho, I can not imagine how big the regular Pho must be! I added the garnishes, lime juice and then tasted a spoonful and knew there was something missing. Usually when I order Pho, it is take out and there are all these little sauces you add. I asked my server what I was missing. A NEW sauce! They have a SPICY hoisin for the Pho. Oh yeah… Much better! I did not find it super spicy, just incredibly flavourful and exactly what the Pho needed. I ordered the pork spring rolls but many of these appetizers had vegetarian options. These are available in veggie and tofu. Dipped in their dip-able fish sauce (which still blows my mind that they created such a genius foodie product) it made these crunchy treats a little funky in the best of ways. Damn! I ate one of the largest lunches I've ever eaten, and spent $12 total. It was delicious. This small, Vietnamese restaurant both looks and feels as though it is run by a family. The decor is modern, and the servers were both young (seemingly high...school or university students). Our server seemed timid, but did a good job in taking our order and delivering our food. Service was not phenomenal, but that's not really something I care about when ordering lunch, especially at a Pho joint. The Happy Hour Special allows you to choose three dishes from a list, for a total of $12. THIS IS THE BEST LUNCH DEAL I'VE EVER HAD. While those around me ordered massive, steaming bowls of Pho for similar prices, I experienced a variety of Vietnamese cuisine that left me nearly comatose (in the best way). The Mini Bowl of Pho was larger than many restaurants bowls of soup, and I ordered mine with rare beef. Bean sprouts and thai basil were kept separate, though I immediately piled them into the bowl, accompanied by hoi sin sauce and chili oil. I don't have too much experience testing other pho places, but this was delicious. I ate the Shrimp and Pork Salad roll next. It was simple, but tasty, and served with a side of peanut sauce that helped its flavour. Not as good as the pho, but a great accompaniment, and I'd definitely order this trifecta again. The third part of my meal was half of a Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi. My only complaint here was that the sandwich was served on a sub roll, not a baguette, but it really didn't detract much from the flavours. The lemongrass chicken was flavorful, and paired well with the usual Banh Mi veggies (cucumber, pickled carrots, etc.). I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch, and was thrilled with the HEAPING amounts of food I received for such a low price. I will definitely go back! There is a reason so many of the customers here are locals, it is obvious that many people think the same as I. Great work Little Saigon! Thank you.More
