Pizza Garden has a number of locations across Vancouver. I go to or order from the Vancouver downtown location on Smythe. I love good pizza but did not think one could get it from pizza places which focus on takeout. I had thought — until...someone alerted me to Pizza Garden, there was no such place in Vancouver. My first order from Pizza Garden changed my mind and made me a repeat orderer. In fact, I was so impressed I ordered multiple pizza for one of my son’s birthdays he was gracious enough to share with me, traveling the some seven hours in from the Wild West Coast — where he and his family lives. I invited a set of his friends over to join us, knowing the pizza had to be superb. Again it was and all loved the selection I chose. This underscores my commitment to PG’s Neapolitan, fine thin-crusted and hand-crafted pizza, with high quality ingredients in its crust and toppings to this day. Each slice makes me more of a convert. Posted by S FullerMore

Pizza Garden was a pleasant surprise. Specializing in authentic Neapolitan pizza pies, this BC-born chain offers pizza lovers a fine alternative to your standard Chicago or New York-style pizzas. Priding themselves on making pizzas with only the freshest ingredients, they offer patrons a unique take-out...experience unlike any other in the Vancouver area. I think what surprised me most was the quality and taste of the pizza I received. I don’t know why but, when I think take-out or delivery, Neapolitan never crosses my mind – it’s always Chicago, New York or what I’ve referred to elsewhere as “trash pizza” (Pizza Hut, Dominos, Megabite). However, Pizza Garden has soundly changed that perception. From order to delivery, I received my pizza in 30-minutes and it was love at first bite. You could tell, right out of the gate, that Pizza Garden utilizes high quality ingredients. The taste of the pie further confirms this. Indeed, when an establishment utilizes high-end ingredients you can tell. With Pizza Garden, their dough is made from Caputo flour, which is imported from Italy; their tomato sauce is made using “a traditional blend of fresh red-ripe tomatoes simmered with extra-virgin olive oil and herbs,” as per their official website; their selection of meats are sourced from Italy or BC; and, their vegetables are all fresh, never frozen. Importantly, each pizza pie is made to order – not waiting on a line or under a heat lamp. Taken together, Pizza Garden’s attractive blend and technique results in an authentic taste that brings delivery to a whole new, unparalleled, level. To date, I’ve tried the “Primo,” “Calabria,” and the cheesy garlic bread. Both pizzas were excellent. The real mozzarella cheese, different types of pepperoni and fresh vegetables created a beautiful synthesis of textures and flavours – a proverbial party in one’s mouth. The crust was also noteworthy. I’m usually not one to eat crust, but the execution by Pizza Garden was fantastic. It was crispy, thin and not overly chewy. The cheesy garlic bread was also a surprise. Whenever I’ve ordered cheesy bread from other establishments, I’ve always been left disappointed by the mediocrity that’s arrived. You know, bland, hard bread with cheap cheese on it. Not so with Pizza Garden. The handsome mix of fresh garlic, grana Padano and mozzarella results in a high-quality, cheesy bread. One might even call it “pizza lite.” FOOD: 5/5 SERVICE: 5/5 VALUE: 5/5 RECOMMENDATION: Pizza Garden has unequivocally changed my view on Neapolitan “take out” (or delivery) pizza. Their product is fresh, high quality and fair in price for what you get. If you want an authentic style pizza, Pizza Garden is for you. If you want your typical trash pizza, you might want to look elsewhere. For me, I will be patronizing this establishment a lot more whenever in Vancouver. Simply delicious and highly recommended! This is Neapolitan-style pizza, and it was quite tasty, with a thin, chewy crust, not a lot of cheese, but plenty of toppings. The Calabria we ordered was really good. We wanted more after we ate it. My only complaint was that we ordered this...delivery to our hotel, and when it arrived, it was sliced so oddly that we couldn't split it evenly. We had two pizzas, one of which was sliced into 6 very uneven slices (one slice was a quarter of the pizza, the next was about a third - very strange), the other pizza was six slightly more even slices. Since we were in a hotel, there was no knife of anything to cut the slices, so we had to kind of tear them to make sure everyone had some. Maybe you have to request it to be sliced a certain way? It would have been nice if they'd anticipated that we'd need paper plates also, but I won't ding them for that. I would order from here again, and I'd order two large pizzas :)More

The hotel we stayed at recommended this place so we walked here to just to get Pizza by the slice. At the time, there wasn't much to choose from so we each ended up with Pepperoni & Pineapple (would have preferred just Pepperoni or but...there was nothing with just meat only). Pizza was fine, nothing exciting. Very WARM inside so you may want to eat on the couple of tables outside. On our walk back to the hotel, we found another pizza place around that was less expensive and better selection available.More

It allous to achieve pevect crispness and lightness. Staff hand craft each pizza. Many different toppings. Sides are bread and...salads. So tasty.....More
