What a coffee place should be indeed - I come here whenever I’m in Vancouver because of the chill atmosphere and beautiful design.
Look at my pictures this place is a little slice of contemporary heaven. Wood, concrete and boutique roasted beans - I always have espresso that delights me when I ask for their recommendation.
Really cool feature if you’re a mobile worker is the glass hanging table at the back.
Highly recommend.

Visited Milano in Gastown for coffee in October 2019. Milano has cool atmosphere. Good coffee and free Wi-Fi. A good place to spend a bit of time for relaxing and good coffee.

What a coffee shop used to, and should be, a local spot with great baristas, local color and great coffee. A bit away from the maddening crowds and a delightful spot for a cuppa.

My fave coffee place in BC. The decor is sparse yet oddly pleasant. coffee is good, and the lavender bars fantastic. Unfortunately, there are only a couple of tables near the window but if you manage to snag one of them you're in lack of basking in the sun, people watching and daydreaming.

Ambience great. Coffee excellent. We had just walked through part of Chinatown where homeless folk gather. It felt dark, but the sky and us lightened finding the Milano Boutique cafe.

Great coffee and excellent tea!! The biscotti and the gluten free muffin were delicious. Lots of seating, clean washrooms and very friendly staff. I will definitely return for another coffee break!

Came here everyday for our coffee whilst on a recent holiday. Coffee was fresh, strong and tasty -their home made almond milk was delicious if you like yours with almond milk definitely try it.
If your after great coffee look no further....

I had a mochaccino with almond milk at Milano. The coffee shop is plain and simple but you could tell they know their coffee! The cafe is located in the hip Gastown neighborhood.

I keep coming back here when I visit Vancouver. I love coffee but the Starbucksification of coffee has left me a zombie. When I come here I ask for their help in choosing something different - they wow me every time.
When you enter, notice the gutsy statement on the door "your day is about to get better" can a coffee shop do this?!
With this decor, yes. Bright, high ceilings, a really unique hanging table for laptoppers and students.
Love it here.

I honestly would like to go back and actually try the coffee, because the drink I ordered was not very good (flavorless really). But the place is nice and the staff was attentive. Decent prices and close to Canada Place.

Got a quick cappuccino to go. The staff was incredibly friendly and personable. And the cappuccino was delicious. And in Gastown, which was a convenient location!

Great espresso!
I had machiato, which was served the way it should be. A shot of espresso just marked with a small amount of steamed milk. Sandwiches are available. Friendly and comfortable. If I worked in the area I would stop in daily.
