First, I would like to thank Dawna for making our 50th. anniversary so amazing.
We were two couples and arrived at the restaurant at 4.00 pm. We were greeted so warmly at the desk. Our table was by the window with fabulous view of Coal...Harbour.
Our server was Dawna who was so knowledgeable and hospitable. Our dishes were lamb, salmon, halibut and linguini.. , all so delicious.
We are coming back, that's a given.
Beautiful evening to enjoy the best of what Vancouver has to offer. Cardero’s, an institution that I’ve never had the opportunity to try until this evening. We started with their Italian Meatballs. Not really my first choice but this might be my go-to appie. The...meatball was beautifully cooked and the sauce was exquisite. Bursting with flavor and acidity to cut the richness of the meatball.
I ordered their famous cedar plank salmon that didn’t disappoint. It seemed to come with a fried rice?!? I’m definitely okay with that! We also had their halibut with a whisky butter sauce. Rich and decadent! No dessert ordered as we were stuffed! … I did have their raspberry lemonade with a shot of gin :) I’ll say that’s my guilty pleasure for the evening.More
Nice pub with outdoor sitting. We had shared platter. For what you got the price of $55 was a bit high in my opinion but you are eating in Vancouver. Must say though the salmon melted in your mouth it was really good. Chocolate martini...was good too. They did a phenomenal cleaning after every customer . Never been to a restaurant where they even wiped down the seats.More
