Came across this great spot while sightseeing after Alaskan cruise. Really enjoyed a local IPA with their Tuna Club Sandwich with fresh side salad. Sat outside on the water - this September day was beautiful with spectacular views. Wonderful service!

Great views, great location and great service. The menu is small, but the choices are delicious. The cocktails are OK, but the wine choices are well curated. The NY steak is better than I have had at a more expensive chop house!

If you are in Vancouver and want an amazing dining experience, we highly recommend Lift Bar and Grill. We dined here for supper on June 3, 2023, and absolutely loved the atmosphere as well as the food! Waterfront dining (they provide indoor/outdoor and roof top...dining), with the water and mountain views was spectacular as we watched the sunset on the water. Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. We started with Caesars and Soughdough Baguette, and then shared a Scallop & Prawns Linguine (we have smaller appetites). Both were absolutely Amazing dishes! The surprise birthday dessert was very much appreciated and delicious! We would say the cost is average for Vancouver restaurant dining. This is not a fast food restaurant, but chef prepared and is reflected in the presentation and taste! We will be back when we visit again!More

An amazing view and waterfront experience if you sit outside. You have a pier-like seat almost right on the water. The halibut main course was excellent. Great service.

We loved the place and the dinner. A very good friend recommended the place to us. We sat on the terrace, in front of the sunset… amazing. We had fried prawns to share (really good) and then I had the Signature Salad. I really enjoyed...it!!! My husband had the local steelhead and it was also amazing. Amazing place, amazing food, good service too…More

Excellent views of the harbour. Great ambience and very tasty halibut and fries. We ate upstairs in the shade under an umbrella. Shade mandatory on a sunny day if you want to be comfortable

We were visiting Vancouver and was looking for a fun place to dine while overlooking the marina. As we walked in, we found that we could sit at the bar and still have a great view of the Harbour. We soon found that Chef Chris...runs a top notch establishment, one of my top 5 in North America! We like eating at the bar and meeting Chef Chris working there was a special treat. He was helping out with shucking Raw Oysters. Now I grew up eating my share of oysters and I’m real proud of our brand back home in NC. I asked the difference between their east/west coast types that he offered. Chef took the time and explained what was special about each one. We also tried one of his famous Oyster Shooter, that was the best ever! We like sitting at the bar as I haven’t met a bartender yet that didn’t make me laugh. Again, I was not disappointed! Jeoff waited on us AND he explained that he is also the bar manager. I was asking about his recommendations on Vodka and he explained that all his well drinks were only top shelf. For my Vodka Martini, he used Wyborowa. It’s Polish’s best vodka since 1927 and I’m now I’m spoiled. Warning, you won’t find it in many bars. But I ask for it now by name. We started with Dungeness Crab apps and then on to a great seafood player course with real sourdough bread. We stayed almost for two hours and only left when I couldn’t go anymore. We can’t wait for a return engagement.More

Lift is one of the few exceptions I've found to the rule that a great location means mediocre food and service. Built out over the water in Vancouver's Coal Harbour, the views out the floor to ceiling windows are spectacular from virtually every seat in...the house. In the foreground, pleasure boats of all sizes are coming and going from several marinas next door. Stanley Park is the backdrop with the north shore mountains completing the picture on a sunny day. In the summertime the windows fold out of the way and the sea breeze wafts gently into the restaurant. But I digress, this is a restaurant review after all. My suggestion is come here for brunch or lunch, when the well-heeled crowds haven't arrived yet. The breakfast menu is delicious and upscale, yet hearty fare. The Coal Harbour breakfast will satisfy any appetite. My favourite for lunch is the Halibut and Chips, which is expensive at $30 but worth every penny. There is ample seating at the bar with an excellent array of top shelf spirits. (Hint, come here mid to late afternoon for a laid back drink in a beautiful atmosphere. If you're arriving by car, there is ample free parking in a nearby underground lot. Call ahead and ask for directions.More

We walked from our hotel to this nearby restaurant and wow, we are so glad we did. We knew it would have nice entrees to choose from but the ambiance was nicer than I expected and the service was absolutely amazing. The server asked if...we were celebrating anything and we said not tonight but we flew down to celebrate our wedding anniversary on Saturday and the chef sent out an amuse-bouche and a dessert on the house. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the service was friendly and attentive. Our server warned us that this was her first shift. Well I think she did more than okay and thank you for the lovely evening!More

Every nonoccupied table covered in dirty dishes Literally 12 people in the restaurant with 12 lined up waiting to be seated - because 80% of tables not bussed Got an order in 30 minutes after being seated Food arrived cold 30 minutes after ordering Had...to go get the coffee carafe for myself as in an hour of seating, never refilled Understaffed and filthy Had to leave cash (with no change - forced tip) to catch my flight because I couldn’t get anyone to bring a bill much less let me pay by credit cardMore
