Stayed here for three nights. Location is great. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleanish, very hot and noisy. And warm water was on/off. Even if you did need to run it for 30min... ok stay in Vancouver!

My daughter and I both adults stayed here. The tenants helped us with our bags. Than goodness, and there were no lifts. The desk staff were very helpful and indulging with our questions. We enjoyed our stay, then walked a short distance to downtown, the...port and our cruise.More

We stopped here for a burger and a beer and that's what we got. Wasn't bad but nothing special. Probably wouldn't go back.

Yo fam So I got a room for my girl and I at the Cambie and got my herbs from the local shops with jus a driver's license! The free breakfast almost cost us our savings tho! It's a muffin and coffee or a voucher...for 3.50 off breakfast but it's corrupted mang- u can't get any items worth 2.50 and get this: my girl asked for sausages ham fruit cup sides, all 2.50 each- a cute gesture to save money and use our cupes. Next thing I know we have a bill for almost $30 and not 0.50$!! Like with? ?! She said she could not use the vouchers on cheap sides so she charges us both for the biggest baddest breakfast instead! Except she only brought out like 10% of the dishes and kept the rest!! No waffles pancakes eggs or bacon toast came out jus one small side of sausage one side of ham and one fruit cup which she tried to overcharge us 6$ on!! Had to argue and cancel my high just to get me dollars back- like wow! Cool place with some uncool bs sometimes I guess - of course tho most staff are awesome it's more a system glitch made by management on purpose I thinkMore

Choices between dorm rooms and private rooms, mostly shared bathrooms. It's an old place but always kept clean. Cheap & yummy breakfast in the morning! I always have a good sleep when staying here.

Amazed it's still there and still offering a burger and a beer, not the 6.00 or 8.00 dollars I paid many moons ago. Cold beer, top notch nachos, and a excellent burger and fries. Still a big cross section of patrons from construction workers to...white collar business people. Some good memories here glad to see its still in the neighbour hood and familiar landmark that hasn't come to the demise of the wrecking ball.More

I was goaded into going to the Cambie. I was very skeptical, but the cheap pitchers were a selling point. Is it a dive bar? Yes for sure, but you get a nice mix of people there. Go with a group of friends early, claim...and table, and make some friends! Food is better than what the bar vibe gives off, but I wouldn't be rushing there to eat.More

I saw the huge outdoor seating area, I thought it would be a decent place for a beer and some cheap grub. Ehhh, it is what it is. Hostel, all the way around. The chicken tenders and fish get fried in the same fryer, you...could taste it on the chicken. If you're looking for a cheap meal, and to mingle with vagrants, this is your place. Just not for me.More

great bang for your buck. $5 meals and beer. what more could you ask for. The hamburgers, tacos and nachos are good and the beer and rum & coke were good. great place to watch hockey and throw a few back.

Great for the younger and more casual crowd to have a few drinks or then some. Some cheap bar food option of average quality..but you're there for the drinks and lively atmosphere.

My favorite bar in the world, you get an incredible blend of wannabe sophisticates slumming from the West End, the normal blend of artist and stabbers from the East Side, University students looking for the cheap pitchers and of course the international guests from the...hostel. Coupled with tables that are too big and have to be shared every night at the Cambie is a completely different night with no idea where it will take you.More

I wandered into here whilst strolling around in Gastown. I introduced myself to a table of respectable looking people and didn't leave for about six hours. What a great place to meet people, eat, drink, and have a good time! There were several sports channels...on and the place was packed. The only negative was that you had to queue at the bar for drinks. A novel concept in Canada, I'm lead to believe. Will definitely return when I'm back in Vancouver.More

The security guards are absolutely ridiculous about checking people's IDs. They have refused members of our group twice in the past 6 months just due to the fact that we didn't have our passports on us. Come on, who is carrying their passports around with...them when they go out for a drink?! Both times it seemed to us that the security guards just wanted to show off their power. I have hardly ever seen anyone behave so ridiculously. Furthermore, the staff inside the pub is unfriendly, the food is terrible and mice have been sighted. This is an absolutely disgusting place and I would not ever in my life go back there, even if someone paid me to go there.More
