Our server at dinner the night before recommended we grab breakfast here. We ordered a couple waffles to start with chocolate and raspberry & caramel toppings. We decided that combining the sauces was the best way to go. The waffles were soft and sweet despite...More

They've done a great job with the space here as it's warm and inviting with the wood finishings. The place is bustling between the sound of lively conversations and the music, but not to the point of being frustrating. We enjoyed the items that we...More

Love love love Chambar. The food is exceptional - the staff top notch - however if you’re looking for a night out sans kids - this is not the place. Why spend $100 on a babysitter for your sexy night out only to find that...More

My family and I went to Chambar for a celebratory final-night dinner before they left to head back overseas; we were a party of seven. We were warmly welcomed and had our coats taken from us, and the atmosphere there is lovely! Low lighting, not...More

We had dinner at Chambar tonight for the second time and enjoyed it a lot. Dinner here is not cheap but the food and service are very good though the drinks list is far longer than the menu.

The only negative impression was the hostess, not much welcoming. They were busy though, hopefully that was the reason. That feeling was immediately compensated by everybody else on the service team, from busperson to our waitress, as well as anyone others waiters passing by our...More

I have been to Chambar a few times and this time was during Dine Out. All of the foods we had were top notch and I would strongly recommend the Lamb Shank. The Tropical Cake was very lacking in flavour and quite dense and dry....More

Came for brunch, didn’t have reservations, waited about thirty mins and ended up at a counter on a stool. Didn’t know the waffles were going to be small, but the one I had was pretty good. My husband had a plate of something or other...More

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular

There is no formal dress code however they work their butt off in putting quality food in the plate and offer professional service so my philosophy is to not 'underdress". I had a suit no tie.

We make our bread fresh daily inhouse, if you can let me know the date you were in, and describe what you had and I'll see if I can get you a recipe. The starter is 40 years old and not something we can share.
