Wow wow wow, Chambar was one of the best breakfasts we have had. Beautiful decor, attentive staff and a wonderful range of food on the menu. Beautifully presented food that tasted amazing.

A great restaurant not far from the Library building. It has a huge selection of Belgium beers - in fact two pages and a small food menu. We ordered the salmon which was very good. Lovely atmosphere and recommend and advisable to book I advance.

The place is cozy and has nice outdoor seating. We've stopped by for breakfast but it was nothing special about it. Appreciated the friendly attitude of the staff.

My perfect breakfast at chambar: One liege waffle with berries. One waffle with dark chocolate. Black coffee. Free wifi. My husband and I would come here early, grab a table, open our laptops and have a perfect working breakfast. We loved this place.

We booked here for dinner before we arrived in Vancouver, as it was close to our hotel, and we knew we'd be exhausted after a day of sightseeing! It had a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff were so helpful. We managed to have a table...More

Excellent quality breakfast fare. A bit on the uppity side - when you mix two languages in the same sentence in a menu description that's trying a bit hard. Service was good, attentive. Everything was a bit more $$$ than it could have been but...More

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of

plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of

There is no formal dress code however they work their butt off in putting quality food in the plate and offer professional service so my philosophy is to not 'underdress". I had a suit no tie.

We make our bread fresh daily inhouse, if you can let me know the date you were in, and describe what you had and I'll see if I can get you a recipe. The starter is 40 years old and not something we can share.
