We visited here on a coupon. Excellent value and even better than the other similar restaurant a couple of doors away. Generous portions of food - lots of seafood.

Great restaurant close to our hotel and the cinema. Our youngest doesn't eat teppanyaki food, so the offer of chicken and fries went down a treat

We did a groupon to this place so it was a lot of food. We did the 7 course meal and we left so full. The service was not great but the food was good. My family loves that they cook at the table. Overall I would recommend this place if you can get the groupon it is even better.

We purchased the 11 course meal for two people and although initially the portions looked small, by the end of the meal we were satisfied. Always fun to watch the chefs cook in front of you.

We bought a Groupon for this restaurant and booked a visit in the morning of our date night. Even though they were pretty busy, they were able to book us in that night. The 12 course meal that followed next was beyond all expectations! Most seating (apart from the private rooms) is set up in U-shape with chefs cooking in... More

If it wasn't for the groupon deal, I don't think I would have ever gone to this place. We waited in the lounge for like 20 minutes before they seated us and it wasn't even very busy. The quality of the food was ok, but there just wasn't very much of it. 1/2 a lobster tail is ok, but 1/2... More

Have been coming to this place for a while but 1st time commenting. The groupon deal is a good one as it is a "rare" deal that is actually based on menu items - not a marked-up item then discounted. The place is busy all the time and reservations are a must. The food is fresh and cooked right, mostly.... More

We had a Groupon for this restaurant so the value was OK for us. It would not have been so good at full price. First of all, I had expected more of a traditional Japanese Teppanyaki, but found the food to be more of a fusion, tending toward Chinese. No sunomono salad which I love, no teriyaki sauces on any... We came on a set menu Groupon and enjoyed our meal, but I would have been sorry if we had paid full price. You sit in groups around the grill and the chef cooks in front of you, keeping it moving very quickly. There is expertise, but no flair. I felt the food was somewhat lacking in flavour - hot... Really great welcome at Gyu, and it was a fun way to eat. The chef was hilarious and friendly as well as skilful, and we had a brilliant night. The communal tables are fun, as you can watch strangers' reactions to what's going on, and take inspiration from their menu choices!

Thank Helen S
