Even for an early dinner we had about a 30 minute wait. So worth the wait though. Be careful not to come too late too as I have been turned away as the wait was so long they would not take in more customers. The four of us had the famous deep fried chicken wings, 3 ball noodle soup, filet beef luc lac with fried egg, on choy, and steamed rice roll. You can’t help but keep coming back.

I have not dined here since covid-19. Oh, the food was so good. We were a table of 8 and were able to get a reservation which is available for large groups only else wait in line to get in. One must have is the deep fried chicken wings, crispy goodness. We also had the lemongrass chicken and beef luk lac rice dishes, beef noodle soup, salad roll, papaya salad, beef carpaccio, on choy and Phnom Penh rice noodles with assorted toppings.

Located in Chinatown Vancouver, this is the most popular Asian Restaurant in the city. Expect lineups but it is to be expected since this is the go to place for Noodles , Deep Fried Chicken Wings , Rice dishes, etc. One of their signature dishes is the Filet of Beef on Rice with Egg ( Luc Lac ). Tender Beef slices marinated with their special sauce over a bed of rice with a fried egg on top. Price is very reasonable . Truly one of Vancouver's premier Asian must visit for the gourmet foodies.

We arrived to the restaurant and it was very crowded at the entrance, there was complete confusion as to who was next. We wait about 10 minutes to sign in and which point two other tables behind us had pushed in front of the queue to check in for a table. After waiting 55 minutes we were finally seated, restaurant is nice and the staff are friendly enough. Food came out very quickly, we had a dry noodle bowl (very disappointing), chicken wing (not as good as i was expecting) and then the best dish we had was the beef luc lac. All in all, worth a try if you can catch them on a not so busy period but dont wait how long we did

I have to admit, my in-law family loves deep fried stuff and I try not to to eat too much deep fried food or salty food. I did try a bite of deep fried goodness but all I tasted was salt or was it heavy MSG? I stuck with the rice / noodle dishes instead and avoided the deep fried dishes. Not a place to dine if watching what you eat. We made reservations for 10 people on a Sunday dinner. As expected lots of people in line to score a table. This is the restaurant to eat the popular dish, deep fried chicken wing. Overhyped? You tell me! This spread was demolished quickly. Not my first time dining here but I had zero craving for the deep fried stuff that night. I have to admit, I didn't do the ordering. I would still give 3 stars because there was not a dish anyone said didn't meet their expectation but I think it's a bit salty/MSG heavy, FOR ME. Though I am not a health but. Even the rice and noodle dishes were saltier. I needed to 2 glasses of water at the end as I was so thirsty consuming 2 bowls for rice and noodle dish. It was super busy with lots of servers running food out and clearing dishes. Customer service was very good considering.

I ordered a beef noodles plate that would have been more aptly named cartilage noodle plate. There was nothing edible in this order as even the noodles, while being separated, were already soft and mushy. A truly disappointing experience.

I really have no ideas why this restaurant became so hot in Vancouver, every time I passed by there’s a long line up . Today I was doing grocery right beside and too lazy to drive to another place so I decided give it a try again ( after the first time I said not coming back again but I did, I know it’s stupid). I ordered 3 dishes, amok, wings ,beef rice. 1. Amok, $27.50, I thought a dish close to $30 should be a good dish , even though the taste not good but a good presentation should still there , just looks at the pic , I’m speechless.2, one of the famous items chicken wing, $17.80 for 7 little pieces whole chicken wing, and I think is kinda pricy and it just tastes just fair. 3, one the famous dishes again-beef rice , the beef is really minced, If was not told , I can’t even taste that’s beef, also have not ideas why this is a famous dish in store. I can only taste it’s sweetness nothing else, no Cambodian spices flavour at all. At the first visit I ordered 7 items for two of us , was so disappointed, that’s why I only ordered 3 dishes today, but ALSO VERY DISAPPOINTED again, I will not come back for sure. The reason I leave 3 stars , just because the place is clean all the things I can see in store , and also even tho line up, the front door arrangement still in order. But the food just …… especially the amok, just like sh*t, how can they charge $27.50?

I lived in Cambodia for three months and this restaurant brings me back to a place and time that many did not survive to share their history. The staff will help you decide what to order if you are not familiar with Cambodian food. Try not to go the tourist route and order what seems to be familiar because you will miss out on the true experience of Cambodia. Let them know that you are willing to delve into the food culture. Plan to put your name in and wait at least thirty minutes. There is an Irish bar next door to enjoy a stout while you wait. My friends, take a moment to truly appreciate the history of Cambodia we are fortunate to have survivors to share their exquisite cuisine with the world.

Precovid twelve of us enjoyed a great meal.  We had some many delicious dishes:  deep fried chicken wings, garlic squid, 3 types of ball noodle soup, fish cake, filet beef luc lac on rice, and hot pot.  You come here to enjoy the flavours and not count calories.  You leave here so satisfied and want to come back again.

We ordered 4 dishes for take out: pho, sugar-salt chicken wings, hot and sour soup, and salad rolls. We didn't like the mystery meat on the pho, the hot and sour soup was not good, and the salad rolls were mediocre. We loved the wings and threw out the soup. This was a very disappointing experience.

Used to be one of the best if not the best Yang Chow fried rice in town. Just took out an order and it was inedible to say the least. The rice was very crumbly and not fried...it was merely mushily mashed together. It was also missing or lacking the most basic essentials - peas, carrots, etc. Very disappointing.

The restaurant really is a churascharias but with additional food and buffet. It was good but it should concentrate on grilled meat. When we arrived, no information or menu were given to us; we didn't know what to expect and how much it will cost. I had to ask for the drink menu. Surprisingly, caipirinha was not available. A little bit expensive for the quality of meat that is offered; beef was chewy. Buffet offers a variety of foof including oysters, raw and rockfeller. Tempura srhimps are good. I went to that kind of restaurant in Brazil and Vietnam, Of course, I was not expecting the same as in Brazil but should get closer to that style and food quality.

PP is ONLY doing takeout and the lines are longish but not as long as pre covid. They have a good system. We had chicken wings, chicken lemongrass and Kai Lan Beef. The two chicken dishes were tasty, good, and yummy. The beef dish did not have much flavor so I added a bit of Sriracha. The takeout preparation was good.

It is one of well know Cambodian restaurant in Vancouver and in business since late 80's and the good old bustling beautiful China Towner are gone since the 90's ! but amazing this restaurant still going strong , the ambience feel like hole in the wall and line up sometime over a hour wait , but they text you when your tablet is ready , the quickest way is sharing tablet with some one , menu is Cambodian and Vietnamese affordable price , I choose their #1 Phnom Penh rice noodle and #72 fried Oyster Cake , noodle not soggy broth very tasty good fresh variety meat , portion size not that big , oyster cake very average not oily , over all everything not spectacular, but service fast and friendly , for my honesty personal opinion this place well overrated ! if you rush for time not worth the long wait also there is a lot good modern restaurants on the same street , unlikely I will be back soon for sure not worth the drive all the way from Richmond plus there is so many of nice Cambodian / Vietnamese restaurant in Richmond .

My son, a visitor from London, UK wanted to enjoy the Cambodian food at Phnom Penh in Chinatown, Vancouver, BC , Canada. Sad that Vancouver Chinatown is fast changing as many old and traditional shops has closed- worst still are the many vandalism and graffiti. However, there are signs of new boutique eateries emerging. The Phnom Penh restaurant is still very popular as we had to wait for about 15 minutes before we have a table - the food at the Phnom Penh restaurant is still very good.
