There were 16 people in our group with reservations at 7:15 pm on a Tuesday. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was good. It was trivia night and we had a fun time although the sound system sounded a bit “muffled”. The restaurant did a great job in handling our large group. This place is right on the Southeast corner of Burrard St. and West 7th Avenue.

Thanks for the great review Bill, all our tables are great at moving so we love big groups! We will keep an ear out for that sound to see what we can do, in the meantime we hope to see you again, or we might have already since my response is a little late.

Great location on Burrard Street between 4th and Broadway. Good sized outdoor patio and lots of seats inside. The Happy Hour has some good deals with drinks and food of course. We were not impressed with the happy hour appetizers plates we had. They were edible, but pretty much mediocre. Typical pub food for sure. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Love the vibe, close to the 5th Avenue Theatre. We’ve gone before and after movies. Friendly staff, good service and good selection of craft beer. The food although good, gets a “meh” needs more flavor. I’ll go back for sure.

A friend recommended we go to Carlos' for a drink and some food so we walked over. The pub was packed but we found a table outside where we cold eat, drink and people watch. We started with the McCracken Rolls from their Happy Hour menu and they were a tasty snack. We both ordered the Guinness Beef Burger and were very disappointed in the meal especially considering it was priced at $24. The bun was cold and doughy (it should have been lightly toasted at a minimum), and the beef patties were warm at best. The cheese was not even melted onto the patties. I should have sent it back after the first bite, but I didn't. We mentioned it to our server and the manager did credit us for the drink we had, but we really should have just returned the burgers after the first bite and ordered something else. Those burgers never should have made it out of the kitchen. We won't be back.

If you want to have a beer some good pub food and watch a game on the tube? Then this is where to go. Very good service, and daily specials for lunch and dinner.

We decided to try this place for dinner before going to a movie down the street. We got reservations, but we didn't need them because we came in early and there was lots of seating. We had a very good server. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name and it doesn't show up very clear on the receipt. My friend and my husband each had the Irish Onion Soup and they were quite happy with it. My friend also had the R. Billy Chicken (Lite size) which had a Bearnaise sauce with prawns and scallops in it. My husband had a Margarita Flatbread which was very good and a good size. I had the Ocean Wise Halibut Dinner (one piece of fish) and it was very good. I really enjoyed it. This Pub also has a multitude of interesting sounding cocktails but we didn't try any. They have a special when you come in on your birthday, so we will have to try that. Very good place to eat before a movie down the street.

Great happy hour double margaritas. The strawberry margarita had actual bits of strawberry in it. Very tasty. The 9 ounce serving of white wine was good and well priced at happy hour. We had the beef dip, delicious. The sandwich comes with a horseradish dressing. If you're not a fan of horseradish, beware. I am not a fan so the waitress cheerfully took the sandwich back right away and brought me one without any dressing, great service. Chubanya was our server. She was very friendly and always smiling. Overall, a delightful experience.

We stopped in for lunch to check out the place—for the food, as we rarely consume alcohol these days. Hence someone visiting it as a pub will probably have a different overall view of the place. The Pub menu is substantial. The list includes appetizers, salads, pasta, flatbreads, steak, etc. In fact, there are several offerings an almost vegetarian could pick. OK, so I picked Potato Skins which have some bacon, not exactly a vegetarian dish. The actual potato skins were somewhat thicker than they usually are at other restaurants. Also had a vegetable soup. It had that glycerine mouth feel one sometimes gets in restaurants—not really something one needs. My wife had the Shepherd’s Pie, which she enjoyed, but rated as not quite as good as the one The Bakehouse in West Vancouver offers during the winter months. No lattes though! Well, it is a pub!

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we went because we heard about their birthday promotion. My friend celebrated her 77 th birthday. We were going out for a movie which was 2 blocks away at Fifth Ave. We celebrated with their happy hour double martinis for the price of one, prime rib dinner Neptune and the bill was only $34 for 3 people. Service was excellent and they have a lovely patio. They knocked $77 off our bill. (Remember to tip on what the bill would have been if there was no birthday discount.) We all said we would go again because they have so many great things on their menu We want to try. We parked under the movie at fifth avenue which costs us $12 for the night but we were glad to have a spot to park in this busy part of town. Fun place for dinner and drinks pre or post a movie. Glad we went and we will go back for sure.

Not much in the way of restaurants when walking back from the centre at 8pm. Came across this Irish pub and decided to give it a try. Seems like a very lively pub. Luckily my daughter (8) and I got a table outside (I think it would have been a bit too rowdy inside for children (going by our visit to the toilets). Food was good old pub grub and the prices were reasonable. Lots of promotions available. Service was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff.

We stopped in for a quick beer while waiting on our takeout dinner from next door. We sat up at the bar and the barmaid was super friendly and helpful. She helped my picky girlfriend choose a beer, while I had a strongbow. I wish we had more time in Vancouver to stop in again.

A group of us met here for lunch. It was almost deserted, which was a little strange. I wondered if being on the east side of Burrard made it harder for people to get to. Parking was certainly a bit of a challenge. Only a few underground spots for the pub; the rest is metered on-street parking. Anyway, very friendly and helpful waitress. Food was pretty average. Very few vegetarian choices (the ubiquitous veggie burger). My companions also thought the food was just okay.

Everyone in our group enjoyed the food. The wait service was excellent and remembered us all by name. The portions were all a good size. Most meals were between $10 and $20. The Pachos were a delicious Irish waffle cut fries with seasoning, cheese and bacon - Yum
