This was where we had dinner on our first night in Vancouver. It was an incredible experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The calamari BLEW US AWAY - best we've ever had and we've had a lot of over the years. It'll ruin you for any other calamari. Everything else was great too, but we will never forget... More

I have been here since they first open and coming back after 10 years ... the quality is superb! The atmosphere is so Japanese full with energy and happiness. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. Our favourite dish is yaki udon and kimichi udon. If you pick any food on the menu, I guarantee they won't fail you.

I used to frequent this location years ago and enjoyed the food very much. However, on my last visit during lunch, the quality of the food has gone down significantly. I may have been unlucky with my selection as my husband's yakitori-don was okay (but not great). I ordered the asari-don (clams on rice). On top of the heaping mound... More

Not many restaurants open after 10pm on a Thursday for a late night bite along Robson. The service was average as there was a slight delay to order but the beer came prompt which kept us occupied until our grilled calamari and pork cheeks arrived along with the yakisoba. Pretty good in taste overall. The yakisoba was udon based which... More

it's a small place where you often have to wait in line (on the street, since the place is small) for a seat. one you're in, the fun starts. get the menue and start to order all the small delicious dishes. it's kind of an japanese tapas bar. we liked the Food and the Service, would def. go again .

The tempura green beans and the calamari are excellent! Everything else was just ok...not bad, just nothing special. Service as good, but food did not come out at the same time.

Small, busy place. The friendly folk at Guu serve good Japanese fare. Sapporo draft tasted wonderfull. Our kid (6 years) loved it as well.

Everything was fresh and good. Good service, lively atmosphere, authentic cuisine. That said, I wouldn't go back. I was looking forward to sushi. Though the waiter recommended items, we didn't love his choices. Our favorites were the teriyaki marinated grilled salmon, fresh ahi tuna, shrimp with sauce (we can't remember the dish name and it took 30 minutes to serve but... More

This place is a sensory overload in a good way. The food is great, lots of small plates you can share, so order a bunch. The price is very very reasonable, especially if the Canadian dollar is on the weak side and you're visiting from the U.S. The staff is loud and boisterous, shouting out the orders to the cooks...
