Expensive and average quality food, the service was good but suggesting tips of up to 25% when you get the bill is not a good look.

This is a quaint little restaurant in bustling downtown Vancouver. Very reminiscent of restaurants in downtown Rome or Florence. The wine list is extensive and the menu although small runs the gambit of great Italian dishes. The focaccia is wonderful and I can’t suggest the...Torchio ai funghi and the Truffle spaghetti and meatballs highly enough. The service was excellent. Not cheap, but worth every penny.More

Loved everything about this restaurant. Fantastic food and service. Some people were dressy others in jeans. Casual yet classy. We dine at Italian Kitchen every few months and always have a five star experience. The service is excellent. Cheerful. Attentive. Non suffocating. Always. The somm is a delight. Lots of good wine info - and tips. They were out of our choice but came...back with three options - all acceptable. We had appies - shared pasta and the shared steak - which is of exceptional value. Had a wonderful dinner with friends on Monday night. We shared the table side Cacio e Pepe, a Caprese Salad, the Garlic Bread, and the Brussel Sprouts. We reserved 6 weeks in advance to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and our only request was for a nice table for 2. We were sat at a door where there was a strong draft and had to wear a coat. The waiter acknowledged the...draft as we asked to be moved. At that moment, our pasta arrived and a table was being prepared for our move. By the time we moved, our pasta platter was cold and instead of reheating it, brought it to our new table. It was too cold to eat and 2 of the 3 pastas were undercooked. Also, at the new table, we were not provided napkins and had to ask for them. The restaurant was understaffed and 2 servers were attending to a full restaurant. Consequently, we did not enjoy our evening and politely left saying that we would definitely not return.More
