Always love Sushi when I come to Vancouver. Decided on Kadoya since it's walking distance from my Hotel. I love Sashimi and was unsure what else to get so I asked the server and she recommended the 6 piece Tuna/Salmon Sashimi with Sakura rolls (Spicy Tuna, Chopped Scallop) and Miso Soup-absolutely delicious all of this under $20 including 20% tip... We arrived late so had to take out, so can't say too much. The spicy salmon and spicy tuna tasted very similar. What I liked was it was a bit spicy.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside and the decor on the inside could use a little sprucing up, however, it was the best sushi I have ever had!

Visiting Vancouver for the first time. Stayed downtown. Found this great hole in the wall within walking distance. Sooo fresh and delicious. Gotta try it!

I went with my partner and we had the most amazing sushi ever. King's and Maple rolls. Highly recommend. Prices are good too.

It was my first visited to have Japanese meal there. I had lunch box for the salmon teriyaki, it was so fresh and yummy. Would love to go back again.

This is the best sushi I had so far worldwide (but Japan) They have taken this kind of meal and revisited/revolutionized in western style: and the result is great! The taste is excellent, plates presentation are awesome and service is great. Excellent value for money. Don't miss it!

There are lots of sushi restaurants downtown but very few can compete against Kadoya in terms of value and taste! The rolls are really creative and well made and the prices are very reasonable. I always get the sakura roll, volcano roll, and spicy salmon sashimi and they're so tasty! Not to mention, the service is always very welcoming and... More

I ordered a variety of dishes and was disappointed. The katsu was greasy and mostly breading that separated from the meat and lay in congealed fat. Maybe that turned on my inner critic but nothing seemed to work from here. It tasted chemical and not fresh. I did arrange a refund from the manager and they were very apologetic. I... More

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
