Was our first time here(have been to one in Calgary) . Waited for a long time because we didn’t reserve. Was well worth the wait, Great vibe great staff great food We shared a dozen oysters and a hole lobster. Everything was great just found...it strange that they didn’t have wine glasses for the bottle of wine we ordered, not the end of the world but strange.More

It used to be one of the most vibrant positive , historical restaurants in Vancouver. Always busy, incredible service with best oysters in town. For some reason owners must be looking to lose money and empty the place out. The oysters were terrible, the music...was bad and the service was equally poor. The energy and the vibe are gone, so are the line-ups. Sad to see such a successful part of Yaletown being lost due to someone having no understanding of a loyal customer base that spends a lot and used to tell every visitor that Rodneys was a must try location. Now its a must avoid !!More

We were in Van. for med. apts., looking for a nice place to eat. We saw seafood sign & we had to give it a try. We were there at Low Tide - happy hour! We enjoyed great service, great food! We had Mini Lobster...& Shrimp Rolls, Steamed Mussels. We were shown the maritime room, all decorated with back east in mind. I saw one of their t-Shirts there & got one for my hubby. We had an all around good time, will go again!More

kind of a weird night. Our server was very distracted by another table and kept chatting them up to the point of being obnoxious. We were not offered drinks when ours were empty, and when he did check in with us he was super awkward....I asked if the seafood pasta was spicy, and he said he'd ask them to make it less spicy. Didn't taste like he remembered to ask them. other than that, the oysters and pasta were good. Not much else to say. Usually love Rodney's but didn't love tonight.More

We live in the ‘burbs but are regulars at Rodney’s Yaletown, probably making it there at least 2-3 times a month on average. Rodney’s has been one of our favourite go-to spots in Vancouver for years. You can’t beat the service (the staff are all...amazing), the food is great and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and fun and the place has it’s own unique and very special vibe. We popped in for lunch on Saturday and while our server was great and the food was just fine, you could immediately tell something has changed. Everyone was wearing the same boring “corporate” T-shirts, not the usual mix of Rodney’s quirky but lively shirts that just spell “fun”. Even the ones you could buy from the display case are gone. The music was not the usual fun mix that Ian and his team typically play, but rather some bland mix that some accountant in a distant office thinks suits a seafood restaurant. Worse, when asked where some of the long term servers and team members were, apparently several have been let go in a recent house-cleaning that would only be done by someone who has no clue what the vibe and fun of Rodney’s is really about. I wish Ian and the staff at Rodney’s all the very best, and feel for everyone who now watches as the soul and character of the place slowly wilters and dies thanks to one bad decision after another.More

Stuck in Vancouver for a medical appointment. Went to Rodney's for dinner the night before my appointment. Great raw oysters and great service for someone alone. I will go back.

We had a bit of a wait (30min) which was not bad for an evening meal, however the service and oysters made up for it! We had some West coast raw oysters (my first West Coast experience) and they were delicious. For nubbies like me,...they were sweeter and not as chewy as the East coast oysters. I also had their oysters Rockefeller which were amazing as well. Our waiter was very kind and attentive! It's definitely a place to try out even if your just in town for a short holiday.More

I had a nice evening in Rodney's Oyster House in February. I likes the casual atmosphere; although it was a Wednesday evening, the place was pretty packed and I had to wait 15 minutes for so for a single space at the bar. Ended up...with a 65 dollar bill for 12 oysters and two beer - so its certainly not a budget place to have fresh oysters. Nevertheless, thereMore

Since we did not reserve a table, the matter of reservations should be directed to the restaurant. I don't recall seeing a children's menu, but the full menu was available during Happy Hour.
