Wondering whether to take your toddler to a nicer restaurant? Do it! We popped in for a spontaneous brunch last Sunday with our two-year-old. She was provided with crayons, a colouring sheet (pretty standard for restaurants, although a pleasant surprise at a restaurant like Glowbal), her own tiny smoothie, and a personal visit from the manager (Franck) and the chef! Our server, Cole, was awesome and helped us maximize the value of our order for her (we asked for waffles, which are part of the adult menu as part of a larger dish, but not on the kids menu. No problem, said Cole, and would you like a large bowl of fruit with that, and some extra mini donuts? Why yes thank you. How lovely.) The best part is that they were QUICK, which is essential with a toddler. We were in and out within 45 minutes, but never felt rushed — they simply responded to requests extremely efficiently. One star off because I’d asked for my eggs to be firm, a standard pregnancy request, and they were pretty runny. I’m sure they would have taken it back to the kitchen and fixed it no problem, but since our bigger priority was managing the havoc that our toddler could wreak, I just ate around the eggs. Overall, a fantastic visit, and we will be back!

I’m so sorry that the eggs were not done to your liking the first time around, we’ll definitely pass notes along to the kitchen and be extra careful with that in the future. Darya is our brunch manager and I know she absolutely would have gotten that fixed for you on the fly, but also understand the time crunch you were on. Next time you’re in for brunch, ask for her and she’d be more than happy to say hello and put a face to a name.

We had two tables for our large group who were from western Canada, California and Washington State. Sable fish was outstanding and those visiting from out of town appreciated the recommendation. The rib eye steak was very good and even the Albertans gave it two thumbs up. Our seasoned wine people sent back a bottle of Napa valley red wine (which they never do anywhere as I have eaten with them many times) but the staff could not have been better about it and took it off the bill. Cost for the night was not cheap but not over the top either. In the $125 per head range all in including the gratuity. They had an amazing A5 wagu deal on which next time I will take advantage of at $28 per ounce I believe. Devon our head server was amazing and we could not have asked for better service from his and his team. The manager also came over at the end to thank us and apologize for the bottle of red wine we sent back. Great place for a business group dinner and would happily return. I may sneak in and see if that wagu deal is on next time I am in Vancouver....

This was my first time visiting Vancouver, and my friends and I went to Glowbal our last night in town.
The atmosphere was great. They had several different types of seating options, but we opted to eat in the patio area.
Our waiter was very attentive and helpful suggesting beverages and food options.
We ordered a few appetizers to share, and each ordered an entree. We split the calamari and brussel sprouts, and they were delish. Everyone enjoyed their individual meals as well.
I had the Short Rib Pappardelle which was AMAZING!!! I did everything short of licking the plate clean. Lol.
While the food was a bit pricey, it was worth every penny. I will definitely be going back to Glowbal the next time I travel to Vancouver.

The chairs were covered in crumbs. The fake flower arrangement at the entrance was covered in dust. The shelves had dust on them and the tables were covered with paper instead of a proper tablecloth. I was quite upset with the cleanliness of this place however, the server and the hostess were very polite, kind and wanted to please our group as best as possible. It is not the workers fault but the owner! Take more pride in what you have created and show your place with style, cleanliness and continued great service. Make sure the food is hot and waiters know how to pour water without touching someone's glass top. I really encourage you to make conscience changes. As for today I will not return and encourage friends and family to not visit until everything is cleaned up. Go for real flowers like an orchid planter changed out 1 time a month to give a better ambiance. Thank you.

Went there with the family twice (since this place was located just behind our hotel). We tried pretty much all appetizers and found them to be exceptional (the chowder and oysters specially); the tagliatelle, steaks and fishes were good. The place is chic and has an amazing contemporary-adult vibe that's extremely suitable to have a couple of drinks, I find the outside terrace "cosier" but the service is a little slower there.

First off, the reservation process online was easy. When we arrived, the host was very nice and offered us a seat in the dining room because the patio was full. The seats were socially distanced and all the staff wore masks. VAHID was our server and he was amazing. He was helpful in choosing our menu items and recommended some of his favourites as well. The restaurant was clean and offered a pleasurable dining experience amidst a pandemic. I appreciated the safety measures that the restaurant took like the QR code to scan on our phones for the menu as well as alcohol wipes on our place setting. The food was delicious and perfectly done and presented.

Friendly restaurant with a variety of dishes with different flavors open kitchen and also have their details.
They give you your time and respect your decisions.
The chef soufflé Karla usually comes to your table and gives you reccomendations.

Four of us went to Global to take advantage of the Dine-Out Vancouver price prior to a show. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, with fish being the primary focus - sablefish, ahi tuna, calamari, boullabaise. My sablefish I thought was a little underdone, but the 'foodies' in the group thought theirs was perfect. Everything else was very good.

I came in on a Friday night for dinner on my own. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Carly served me and she immediately was very outgoing and hospitable. Suggested some great dishes, including the short rib pasta, and a citrus style gin cocktail.
I didn’t feel out of place and even the other bartenders were very diligent on checking in and asking me how my meal was.
The dishes were well made and overall I had a great experience.

We chose Glowbal as it was close to our hotel. The food was very pleasant. We were temperature checked and sat at the bar facing the kitchen with lots of room between other diners. Once we took our masks off we settled in and enjoyed our chat. However, to our dismay 3 different people served us by reaching between our chairs which were close together. The wait staff basically stuck their masked faces right next to our unmasked ones to pour water, serve dishes etc. It was unnerving and made the whole experience uncomfortable. Every other restaurant typically sets the dishes nearby and then you reach for them to keep some distance.

Lovely ambiance for a romantic dinner or with a group of friends. The food and drinks were tasty. Our server Istvan was friendly and professional, and make extra sure we got the right food for all our dietary needs and allergies. The restaurant has a couple vegan/gluten free options which were were very happy with.

Visited glowbal on two separate occasions and both times were absolutely amazing. I came with my mom who has a dairy and gluten allergy and chef Jeff was very accommodating and made us up something special that wasn’t on the menu. It was amazing!! The chefs at this restaurant truly are chefs, unlike some of the chain restaurants that can’t deviate from recipes. Our server Hershey was professional, kind, and respected social distancing. Sanitation and cleanliness was great 100%. Will definitely be returning next time we’re in Vancouver.

Everything was prepared quickly and deliciously, the oysters were freshly shucked, the dry ribs were extremely tender and juicy, full of flavour. The calamari was fried just right, and the Halibut with Gnocchi were superb, crispy, juicy, and full of flavour.
Our server Franck tended to all of our needs.
Would definitely come again!

Birthday dinner! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was our first time. The service was impeccable (thank you Tony!!) the oysters were phenomenal- super fresh and big. I ordered the steak and my boyfriend had the shortrib pappardelle. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare, and unfortunately it was quite rare. Tony immediately got my steak cooked to my liking, and was very apologetic. They also surprised us with an amazing dessert, zeppole al cioccolato! Crispy doughnuts filled with rich gooey chocolate. Will definitely be coming back!

Had a great experience at Glowbal for our wedding anniversary dinner. Started with the calimari that was made to perfection. The Sablefish was tender and fresh and the wine list had options to fit any budget. Our server took special care of us and the manager stopped by to make sure we had enjoyed our experience. All they need to add is a wine tasting experience with food pairings, as it was hard to decide what to try! Thank you for helping us to make our special night memorable!
