Large restaurant that still has the vibe of a pub. Went there twice, once for a drink, once for lunch. Outside seating possible, for just drinks, sit at the bar. Good selection of typical north american food, nice beers and cocktails. Service was good, not...great, though the bar men were outstanding . Food was really good, though it took a while. Apparently bingo on Mondays?.. so be aware, but for the rest, good choice.More

Great location, lots of outdoor seating. Bar menu is OK, drinks were average. Wine pours were generous though!

The food was awful. Four of us ordered Steak & Ale pie. We waited at least an hour for our food to arrive. When we asked where it was, a waiter quickly brought it out, obviously to us it had been sitting there waiting to...be served. It was cold and congealed. so had to be sent back. When our "new" meals finally arrived.we were still not pleased no gravy , a tasteless biscuit for a pie crust and a solid scoop of mashed potato.More

Outside seating was very pleasant. Somewhat screened with potted shrubs so you don't feel like you're dining on the sidewalk. Service great! Wife had rock fish and I had steak and ale pie. Both excellent. Good choice of beers.

Pleasant hostess and server. Really interesting historic interior drinking and dining area. Outside dining areas were not very clean due to bird droppings only being hosed down and not completely removed. Good selection of drinks but limited selection of food. We ordered two different salads,...neither were anything special and priced high for what you got. One salad was served with wilted lettuce leaves, the other was skimpy. I would not bother to go back for the food, but might for a drink at the bar in the evening inside.More

Back home in the UK we would think of this as a fairly typical pub. What elevates it is the historic interior and the quality of some of the dishes, such as the duck breast. There is an annoying rule that prevents minors eating inside...after 9 pm, which limits my ability to recommend this as a family destination. Friendly service, good beer and cider flights.More

Doubt we will stop in again after paying 33.00 for one beer and one wine. I don’t recall it being that expensive before. 2 drinks were 10.00 more than a super nice place about a block away.

Stopped for a drink and stayed awhile. Great atmosphere lots to watch. People coming and going and the bartender was very entertaining. She was quick and efficient like watching a ballet. Lots of brass and wood decor to look at.

We stopped here for drinks and a bite to eat when we were in Victoria for a few hours on a cruise ship stop. They were very busy but were able to get us seated within 10 minutes. The atmosphere was beautiful! The food was...great, and the drink menu was extensive. Our server was fabulous - very friendly and attentive, even though he was busy. Loved Victoria in the short time we were there, and would definitely stop at Bard & Banker again.More

Had eaten previously at this establishment several years ago while touring, visiting Victoria. Great food, service & drinks to select from. Sat in the upper dining area, which was a little quieter than the main floor dining area. Out server was very polite, courteous &...helpful. A great work out for them up & down the stairs delivering food & drinks to the customers. Love the decor, well decorated, clean & enjoyable dining.More

Not sure as we had a meal as well; however, I would ask the question when you call for a reservation.

Didn't look like it the two times I was there but it wouldn't hurt to secure your spot. Thanks.
