We came here for some drinks Monday night and we had an amazing time. The drinks were so good and the staff were incredible. The vibes here were awesome, and it was so good to hear some live music! Definitely would come back here again...soon!More
Went for a late breakfast. Menu had 10.00 breakfast listed but somehow it ended up costing us 38.00 for 2 people with only water for a beverage. Asked for refill on water and the waiter never came back. Way over priced for the mediocre food....1st and last time eating there.More
This is 1 of a very few restaurants serving breakfast before 8. I had the eggs benny with potatoes and coffee. The serving of potatoes was appropriately sized. Both eggs were cooked perfectly, great hollandaise. With coffee, less than $14!. Fabulous breakfast, well priced, great...service. And its historical! Robert Service was a bank clerk here, before he headed to the Yukon!More
Sat down outside on the patio on government street in the early evening for a drink and supper…wonderful, friendly funny and attentive staff, great wines and ice cold local brewed beers. Great experience we definitely recommend it!
Perhaps it was a bit ambitious to locate on the patio in late March even though sun was shining. There are gas heaters which helped to ward off the spring chill. But it was the noise of traffic (mainly big trucks) grinding by which put...us off a bit. Food was quite tasty - a clam chowder and small salad at lunch followed by a quite tasty sticky toffee pudding with ice cream (don't see this on many menus). Service was very friendly (our lovely lass comped another scoop of ice cream when the one accompanying the sticky toffee somehow began to melt). A return visit is on the cards perhaps when weather warmer and delivery trucks have finished their rounds.(To add, the interior of this former bank has been beautifully restored...very impressive)More
You won't find a more beautiful room or better service and excellent food in Victoria!
Their burgers and fish and chips are to die for and their Brunch menu is a real treasure trove of delights.
Creative presentation, fresh and local ingredients, well prepared and...served.
Awesome list of beverages, beers and fancy towers of special cocktails are their speciaity!More
The pub is great, dark but very nice. Lots of spacing between tables, friendly staff, great atmosphere. The food on the other hand was not good at all. A steak ordered well done was not cooked well done and had so much grizzle it was...terrible. There was no taste to the meat. The vegetables were mashed potatoes and grilled romaine lettuce with a tiny bit of caesar dressing and 3 croutons. Definitely not worth the 30 dollars a plate. The knife I had was broken and had a nail sticking out and was cutting into my thumb. The fork was very loose and kept moving when I was trying to cut my steak.More
