oven fired gourmet pizzas, all natural ingredients and great service . This is a cozy and popular neighbourhood spot. it will be busy on a saturday night but not too long to wait. I love the Funghi but also the Diavola - get both and share if you must.

When you're talking about really good pizza in town, this place inevitably comes up. And while it's definitely in the mix, it's not quite the best for me. That being said, I'll never turn down a slice of pizza from Prima Strada, as they do make some really good stuff. The service is quick and friendly, and they have a nice (if slightly unimaginative) menu. The ingredients are where they stand out, however, as everything tastes fresh and very high quality. Even the simple pepperoni pizza is elevated by the great ingredients! Definitely give this place a try if you haven't already.

Although we had a group of 6 our meal was served promptly and each course was delicious. The numerous wood oven pizzas that we tried were all truly outstanding! Our server, Hannah was delightful and attentive. She had great recommendations, as welll as suggestions to accommodate dietary restrictions. Was a wonderful evening at this quaint pizzeria on Cook St.

We used to be regulars at this wood fired oven neighborhood pizzeria. Went there no less than twice a month. That was pre-Covid. Went there yesterday for the first time since. Sat at one of two tiny tables outside. All the staff we knew are gone. Everyone is new. No worries. Ordered our favorite salad. A mix of greens with mounds of Parmesan and Gorgonzola cheese. Now it’s only romaine lettuce, some Parmesan. Nothing else. What happened to the mix of greens. Waitress: Covid. My salad has no Gorgonzola. Waitress: Covid. The previously juicy meatballs were dry and tasteless. Everyone took a bite and left the rest. Asked the waitress, “what happened?”. She shrugs her shoulders and says “Covid”. The pizzas which used to be light and airy have an oily taste and consistently of cardboard. Again, asked thdd red waitress. Same answer, “Covid”. In short, Covid has become their excuse for doing a lousy job on everything. Never going back again. If they ask why, I now know the right answer. It’s Covid. All this enjoyment for $60 per person with two glasses of wine each. No thanks.

Cook St was quiet on Sunday evening and we stumbled into this location as there were empty tables. We’ve been regular customers and this time it seemed off just a little. Pizza dough not quite done and service not quite up to the standard we’ve become accustomed. We’ll be back though. Love this place.

I got 2 pizzas for take out from their Fort Street location the pepperoni pizza and the sausage and red pepper pizza. They were the worst pizzas I've ever had in my life! They were bland, small, barely had any toppings, sauce or cheese. The crust was inedible. It was tough, dry and salty. The pizzas were ridiculously overpriced at $20 and $21. I wish I had never wasted my money here!

We often end up at Pizzeria Prima Strada on Cook St. when we are visiting friends in Saanich...the wood burning oven baked pizza is always good, using their own in-house slightly spicy sausage, sauces, etc.. Last visit we enjoyed and shared 2 different pizza's; a Capricciosa Verde, a "white" pizza, with pesto, ham, artichokes, mushrooms and olives and the Salsiccia Picante with tomato, that house-made sausage, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, basil and Parmigiano. Good crust, great tasting! The location is great...love that part of town!

Attracted by wood-fired oven but pizzas very soggy in the middle and base uncooked. Very mean topping on fungi pizza - bit more cheese wouldn't have gone amiss. Worst meal we've had during our travels in Canada. Had better pizzas from supermarket.

I stopped to get a pizza to go. Service was excellent and very friendly. Paid what I thought was a lot for a "medium" pepperoni pizza. When I got it home (4 blocks away) it was only half cooked, very little toppings and cold. Once I rebaked it, I could only eat 2 slices. It tasted horrible. I have never in my life thrown pizza away prior to this. As I said, service was outstanding but price was too high and product was inedible.

Started with the olives and split the Diavola pizza (6 slices). The salami was spicy and the crust was crispy. All ingredients are fresh. Would get more mozzarella next time as we like a lot of cheese. House red wine was good as well as the beer selection. Friendly servers. Will be back to try the other pizzas.

Grazie mille for the 5 stars, MustTravel88! Diavola is definitely a great first choice - and you can ALWAYS ask for extra cheese! Ricotta is incredible on this particular pie. See you next time.

We had always enjoyed our pizza at his location but not this last time. Previously the crust and ingredients of our pizza and meatballs were delicious and very good quality which made the pizza a healthy choice. Our recent visit was over salted and the meatballs had far too much chilli/cayenne. The pizza crust was undercooked and it was served to us without being properly cut. We never quibble about a fair price, but the prices have climbed approximately 20% in just several months. The staff has completely turned over as well. Altogether a disappointment.

The pizza was good, but the experience left a bad taste. I asked for some parmesan to sprinkle on my pizza, and the waitress brought some in a container smaller than an egg cup. When I was paying the bill, I was surprised to see I'd been charged $3.50 for the parmesan. The thing that really bugged me was not so much being charged, but the fact that the waitress didn't even let me know in advance that there would be a charge. I've been to many pizzerias around the world, and I've never been charged for parmesan to sprinkle on the pizza, so it came as a surprise. It really ruined the whole experience. There are several other spots in Victoria where I can get a good Neapolitan pizza. After this experience, I won't be back to Prima Strada.

We were delighted to be able to visit Vancouver Island again after the pandemic curtailed our travels! One of our first thoughts was to return to an old favourite, Pizzeria Prima Strada! They did not disappoint! Delicious wood-fired fresh thin crust and a delightful array of possibilities for creative and scrumptious toppings. We had one Funghi and one Burrata (the day's special) and both were amazing! We sat at one of the outdoor tables and the service was excellent, too. We felt safe, valued as customers and certainly well-fed!

Used to be the best pizza in town, but the quality has deteriorated and the prices gone up. The last couple of pies I've had there, I could see they're using less ingredients, with the width of the crust much larger. Meanwhile, instead of a $14 Margherita it was more like $18. So with tip, it's over $20 just to take away a personal margherita pizza. Bad value.

We found this place while walking in the Cook Street Village. It is a small pizzeria. But the food had big flavors. The wood fired pizza took no time at all to come. There are some funky flavor combinations that are blended together for unusual but delicious pizzas. Our waitress made an error on our order and realized it about the time it arrived at our table. She immediately took it back and got us our correct order. Great customer service to go along with fantastic pizza.
