If you want a fresh top notch anything go here ! You won't be disappointed. I've ordered from many places around Victoria and only a few I've considered a surefire venue. This is one of them .

It's rare to find a place in Victoria that consistently serves good cocktails. It's even more rare when that place happens to serve elaborate dishes Cenote got it both (on top of an interesting orca drawing) highly recommend

I love going to cenote for its ambiance, great service, drinks, and delicious food! There is a cozy little armchair corner which is my favorite seat, and some larger tables for groups of 4-6. While it is in a basement there are many real plants...decorating the room which is part of the draw for me personally. The chef and bartenders really know what they're doing, plus the owners are involved and very friendly. I'd like to give a shout out to Erik for some of the best table-service I have ever had in Victoria when I was there with my boyfriend for our early Valentine's dinner. You are amazing at your duties! You definitely went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. I'll be back soon.More

Came here after listening to some Jamaican reggae bands not too far away. I usually drink beer, but their cocktail list looked very interesting. I ordered a ginger binger and really liked it. We ordered nachos for three of us, and could not quite finish...them. It was a pretty big pile.More

We were recommended this place by another restaurant that was full. While it would've been missed at first because you have to go below street level to get in, I'm glad we didn't walk past it. I had the blueberry goat cheese lamb sliders and...I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best combination of flavors ive had. I wish Victoria was easy to get to because I'd be going there a lot. Casual, chill, seemed like the neighborhood pub. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in Victoria.More

Our absolute favorite! I always get the "Bootstrap" mixed drink, smokey chocolate balsamic goodness and do not get me started on the spicy cheese and bacon double dog stuffed baguette. Whenever we have a chance we head here for our go to orders, are seated...by the hostess who knows us by name (so lovely), Scott the bartender is a genius, and what a hip atmosphere, funky/romantic/hip whatever you want it to be. So glad we found this spot.More

Accidentally noticed this place and decided to walk in one night.. best decision, the vibe is great. Incredible cocktails and the food looks amazing and I’m sure that it’s great too. Have gone back twice already in a week 🤷‍♂️

A group of five friends met at Cenote in the evening on Friday night to indulge ourselves. We had fancy cocktails, the baked brie appy and then went on to have five different meals. There was only one blip and that was the chicken in...one of the meals was so hard it could not be cut with a knife. It was a dietician eating that meal - definitely the wrong person to serve that meal to :(. On the up side the server took the meal away and replaced it without charge. Next time I would like to sit at the bar - looks fun there! Fairly noisy so if you're looking for a quiet place this is not it! Couches at the front entrance are a nice touch for socializing; however, it was somewhat cold because of the opening and closing of the door.More

Myself and a few industry friends went to Cenote after our shift for a couple cocktails. We walked in and were stared down by the bartender with no welcoming salutation. We took a seat and right after we sat down, another table walked in and...was refused service. We got weird vibes from a slobby looking sever with long graying hair. We reviewed the situation and all decided to take our business to a more reputable, welcoming establishment. I will now go out of my way to tell locals and visiting patrons to not go to Cenote. They acted like they didn’t have the time of day to serve us. Victoria is too small to burn bridges with locals. Good luck with your future Cenote team, I liked your cocktails in the past but your service has left a sour taste in my mouth. I know the movie theater is the only reason your business thrives. It’s definitely not Ron Jermeys porn money.More

Went in with a group of five friends for some drinks around 10:30pm, we got weird looks from the servers coming in, and they gave us rude vibes. Once sat another table came in and asked to be seated, they rudely told them to get...lost and stared them down. Feeling uncomfortable and not welcomed we all left as well. As we were leaving the server called us lemons on lemmings, either or we laughed at him, and will continue to laugh at him. The party that got kicked out, and our party went across the street and laughed, joked, and had an amazing time... and spent a lot of money! Don’t bring any citrus to this restaurant, the servers are sour enough! I’d go again, but if you see a greasy dude who resembles Ron Jeremy I’d take your money somewhere else unless you’re into getting treated like trash.More
