The cook tried to charge extra. The receipt was not allowed for me. The bow was half the size as the last visit. The tortilla soup was excellent. The waitress apt the end was confrontational and beyond rude for a customer.

Everything is “great”, hygienic coffee shop and polite barista. Yummy “Baklava” and special homemade“caret cake” with variety kind of coffee. I highly recommend this place!
Okay, the latte’s were barely lukewarm so we asked for them to be heated up. Pity there was so little flavour but every cafe does it differently. We shared a biscuit. Mostly sugar again with little to distinguish it from just ‘sweet’ .. never did...decide what flavour it was supposed to be. But the sidewalk seating was great in the sunshine. .More
Was very pleasant. Great ambience. Food was fine, deserts great. Service was Very friendly, accomodating, helpfull. Will definately recommend it to friends and family. Breakfast and lunch only.
Stopped by this unassuming little cafe for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It's very quaint and charming inside, with some tables and chairs on the main floor, with additional seating upstairs. The staff are very friendly, and I think it's family-run. The menu is typical...fare, with soups, sandwiches and a variety of teas and coffees. I had the spicy tuna melt, which was hand-crafted and quite tasty, though there wasn't too much spice to it. There was something really down to earth about the whole experience, so if you're looking for something wholesome and unpretentious, this is the place for you!More
What a wonderful experience at the Grindstone Cafe! I came upon the beautiful place on a walk through Victoria this afternoon. The owner, Alex was so kind, interesting and genuine. We had intriguing conversation, the interior design is lovely, food is dynamic and the coffee...was superb. Loved it! Will definitely be back soon.More
I love their tortilla soup. The service is friendly. Their coffee is good. I love how they have decorated it with flowers. I can tell they love the cheerfulness of it and it matches their kindness. Xoxo❤️❤️❤️
The staff are immediately attentive to your order, seating is comfortable and the atmosphere is very friendly.. our Tuscan Chicken sandwich was very delicious and our carrot cake topped the meal off in spectacular order...our special coffees were very well prepared...
you will never find a carrot cake with this much t l c (tenderlovingcare) put into their on the premises baked goods! the carrot cake is insanely good. no one does it better and i loved their coffee here too!
I had my 1st cup of their plain drip coffee here yesterday with half-and-half. It was quite good, and reasonably priced at 2:50 for a medium. My girlfriend is been here too for Tea, a few years ago, and thought it was nice. I didn't...eat anything hence the Average score on Food.More
Recently visited the Grindstone Cafe for the first time and tried out a Caramel Macchiatto, and I have never had a more delicious milky coffee beverage! Thank you to the very talented barista!
Great service and excellent coffee from this tiny spot with the big drawing on the wall outside. Sandwiches are good, too.
When my friends and I shop at Capitol Iron, Value Village, Chintz & Co we meet up at the Grandstone across the street afterwards! Perfect place to sit down, have a yummy coffee and rest up!
Stopped at the Grindstone Café to recharge our batteries after walking around the Downtown area. They sell sweets, soups, and some savories. We only had a Cappuccino each. Lady making the coffee was not a good conversationalist even though we tried, lol. Coffee was good.
I stopped in here after shopping in the area and had a bowl of their Tortilla Soup. It was reasonably priced and delicious. Ordered it at the counter and it arrived at my table in no time at all. Nice tasty tomato broth base. Place...is clean and they have a nice variety of sandwiches, soups and baked goods, etc. Lots of people seemed to be stopping in for coffee.More
