The food here is great. I've eaten many things off the menu and there is not one loser in the bunch. The service...the people are kind, hard working, and some greet you with a smile and even remember your name but there have been errors...in my orders numerous times. From missing the protein I ordered to no dressing on the feature salad, to not submitting my order to the kitchen 2Xs. I order take out so this is an issue. In one instance I called in and was told my order would take 10 to 15 minutes when I arrived my order had not been submitted and in that instance my order took 40 minutes to process other people who came in after I arrived to pick up were eating before I even received my order. Rather than a macro bowl My order was a salad with 2 poached eggs. Each person on the team blamed the other and one blamed me. There have been 5 incidents now in a total of 10 orders thats within the last 2 months. I encourage picnic too to look at their work flows, how they communicate with one another and suggest the following phrase: how can we put this right for you? I encourage customers to check their orders :) cheers.More

Funky decor, good menu. Both the Owen and the Weekender were really tasty, though the 'smashed potatoes' were just cooked potatoes without any smash in sight? Didn't love the single-use packaging when we ate on site - hopefully just a COVID thing.

Small local eatery with the trendy kinds of offerings. Lattes come with those fancy designs. Staff was friendly and attentive. No complaints

I’ve been eating at this restaurant for as many years as it has been open. More days than not grabbing lunch while at work. But also participating in their events and specials and hosting private staff parties. As a vegetarian I appreciate this restaurants sensibility...towards vegetarians and vegans. Their food is healthy tasty and very reasonably priced. The culture of this restaurant is something you will feel when you walk in. You will be welcomed. It will feel hip and comfortable. The service is friendly and personal. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It is a relaxed must try. Located conveniently in downtown Victoria, this restaurant will be accessible to most tourists. And if you were travelling by vehicle, lots of close by parking. And a fantastic outdoor seating area if the weather permits.More

Today I had the Breakfast burrito (made to V) with lime marinated tofu instead of the chorizo. Topped with the roasted salsa. There is always just enough pop in flavours to keep eating interesting. The consistency of the delivery of product WoW. I love the...vibe here. Every seat in the establishment is the best seat. Always fresh - at any hour I feel as though they have just opened for the day. The staff really work well together. It is an exceptional environment to be able to write reviews for TripAdvisor, media exchange, or just surfing. Free wifi!!! A solid choice for all of your caffeinated/non caffeinated bev’s. Ask about the kombucha. Flavours are always changing. I was directed here by my Lawyer - perfect for illuminating experts, as well as corporate.More

With just a few minutes before an important meeting, I stopped into Picnic Too to order a salad. This restaurant has a good reputation for healthy and interesting combinations of food and decent coffee. The greeting I received from the cashier/order taker at the front...of house was incomprehensibly reluctant to the point of rudeness. There is definitely an air of wannabe cool to the staff that is disconcerting and had I not been in a hurry I would have walked away. The macro bowl I ordered was fine enough but seemed to be trying too hard to be “interesting”. And the coffee I found a little acidic, but some people like it this way...All in all, a disappointing experience.More

I work from home, I need to get out. I have succumbed to “city” life. For the past five years I have lived in the jungle. I have come to the island and am loving it. Two streets up. What a perfect spot to spend...some quality time. Great coffee, interesting kombucha flavours. Fizzy water on tap. The most amazing flavour combinations. The BLT. Banana bread skewers. Macro bowls. Music. Upscale casual. You queue to make your order. You choose your seat - spacious room with many shared table spaces. Kitchen items are brought out. There are two locations. I go several times a week. There are many specials and they are all my favourite.More

I almost don’t want to share this review for risk of Picnic Too becoming too popular! Love this place, visit almost every time I come to Victoria.

This is a nice spot for breakfast. In a town where long brunch line-ups are famous, Picnic Too, stands out. And not because it's not worth the wait. I love their breakfast salad and it is very reasonably priced. Good coffee too. (If you are...very picky about your poached egg cook, be prepared...)More
