I’ve been eating at this restaurant for as many years as it has been open. More days than not grabbing lunch while at work. But also participating in their events and specials and hosting private staff parties. As a vegetarian I appreciate this restaurants sensibility...towards vegetarians and vegans. Their food is healthy tasty and very reasonably priced. The culture of this restaurant is something you will feel when you walk in. You will be welcomed. It will feel hip and comfortable. The service is friendly and personal. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It is a relaxed must try. Located conveniently in downtown Victoria, this restaurant will be accessible to most tourists. And if you were travelling by vehicle, lots of close by parking. Today I had the Breakfast burrito (made to V) with lime marinated tofu instead of the chorizo. Topped with the roasted salsa. There is always just enough pop in flavours to keep eating interesting. The consistency of the delivery of product WoW. I love the...vibe here. Every seat in the establishment is the best seat. Always fresh - at any hour I feel as though they have just opened for the day. The staff really work well together. The best breakfast we have had in sooo long...and no 45 min line up. The best breakfast .So healthy and home made..they have awesome drinks as well that they make in house.

With just a few minutes before an important meeting, I stopped into Picnic Too to order a salad. This restaurant has a good reputation for healthy and interesting combinations of food and decent coffee. The greeting I received from the cashier/order taker at the front...of house was incomprehensibly reluctant to the point of rudeness. There is definitely an air of wannabe cool to the staff that is disconcerting and had I not been in a hurry I would have walked away. The macro bowl I ordered was fine enough but seemed to be trying too hard to be “interesting”. And the coffee I found a little acidic, but some people like it this way...All in all, a disappointing experience.More

This is a nice spot for breakfast. In a town where long brunch line-ups are famous, Picnic Too, stands out. And not because it's not worth the wait. I love their breakfast salad and it is very reasonably priced. Good coffee too. (If you are...very picky about your poached egg cook, be prepared...)More

Great lunch. Fresh food. Very original too not what everybody served. Very tasty as well. In short, best lunch I had so far in Canada.

the food is good for sure, but the staff have their noses in the air. I thought it was me, but i talked to a store owner some 15 min. after i left the place, and she said "they dont listen and they are ,some...of them ,can really put me off".. i may go back for the good coffee and food, nice ambience and interesting customers, but i may say something to one of them next time.More

I absolutely love this place...by far my favourite breakfast joint! There are no silly hour long lineups to wait in and the food is delicious.

This is an unassuming restaurant that is easy to bypass. Fortunately, it caught our eye at lunchtime and we stepped inside. The decor is eclectic but the menu sounded great. The food was superb. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Victoria.

Picnic Too has a great menu, both for breakfast and lunch. Unique and interesting food combinations (ie. poached eggs on greens with chopped bacon and goat cheese mixed in with lentils) provide a superb selection of flavourful and healthy tastes. A creative list of breakfast...options ease into an impressive selection of luncheon salads, soups and sandwiches. (Not to say one should pass up any of the fabulous selection of Empire donuts, cookies, muffins and other 'snacks'.) I am not a fan of heavily salted restaurant foods, so was really happy with the use of herbs and spices at Picnic Too. The Korean spicy soup and curried chicken salad we ordered were incredibly tasty without that heavy salted taste. Tempting daily specials. Casual; counter service; efficient and friendly staff.
