I have been going to Cafe Brio for at least 20 years, and frankly it only gets better with age. Had the opportunity to go to Il Terazzo, another great Victoria restaurant the nite before, and frankly Brio was head and shoulders better. The food...was up to its usual first class standard and Greg is always the consummate hosr. The wine list is less pretentious and as good thanks again for another great evening.More

The most incredible birthday dinner with my love at Cafe Brio. The food, the drinks (a lemon/Empress gin/Prosecco cocktail and a lovely French Beaujolais with my dinner), impeccable service and wonderful atmosphere combined to create a truly memorable dinner. Even the music was perfect. Thank...you Greg and Sylvia and staff for an amazing evening. They even saved us a lovely socially distanced romantic corner. I recommend Cafe Brio 100 percent!More

This is an upscale restaurant with an excellent chef, good selection of wines, great menu, and fabulous service. I love the fresh baked bread, the ability to choose half portions in order to try other dishes, and the local farm fresh food. The restaurant is...more than able to accommodate vegans so it is one of my favourite places to go to with friends for a special night out. The pasta and the risotto is fabulous.More

Terrific dinner spot for an upscale casual dinner. Service was great, and the idea of smaller plates and encouraging sharing was great. we had the salmon special and spagattini which was lovely. They are doing a good job with Covid re spacing and paying attention...to keeping patrons away from each other. Some folks were in a tiny room with 6 older patrons in tight quarters which these days is a concern, but tables for 2 are well spacedMore

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Nice ambience. Good staff. Excellent food. I had the duck confit, which was really tasty. My husband had the pasta with rabbit which he enjoyed. My only quibble was that the menu only listed the prices for the “small plates”. If...you ordered the entree style plates, which we did, the price was a bit of an unexpected surprise.More

Have been here in the past and it used to be our favorite! Changed since pandemic. Portions are ridiculously small... it’s not a cheap restaurant! We literally had to go get something to eat after. My hubby order the shrimp risotto that was $27, had...5 small pieces of shrimp, that were hard to find. Complete disappointment, don’t waste your money!!! Unless they change things, they won’t make it as there are so many amazing restaurants to chose from in Victoria!More

I had not been to Cafe Brio, but once inside, I realized the owner was a long time Gordon Head man, whom I had known when he was a teenager! Also knew his Mom and used to dine at Herald Street Cafe years ago, which...this fine gentleman once managed or owned! The service was fast, the food was delicious, the attention we received was top drawer! Thank you--I will return--More

Cafe Brio managed to accommodate our group with relatively short notice. My out of town guests loved the food, wine, atmosphere - the team at Cafe Brio went above and beyond - very impressed.

The four of us each had the family dinner with a menu surprise: six courses that we shared, from the charcuterie to salad. Dessert was extra. Not a cheap meal but a tasty one, with good fish and meat courses. We had an unpretentious red...wine, Corraza, which all of us enjoyed. The servers were all fully professional, and the ambience was very agreeable. An excellent meal!More

Hello Traveler, Welcome to Victoria! Cafe Brio is right downtown Victoria. The cruise ships arrive very near downtown, so it is only about a 3.3km walk to Cafe Brio at 944 Fort Street. It takes 35 minutes to walk there or a... More
