We had booked this restaurant for a small Christmas family gathering just before Christmas, 2022. There were six in our group. We asked for the alcove when we reserved a table as it offers such an intimate setting for dinner. The food was delicious; everyone...was impressed. My 9 year old granddaughter loved the pasta and my teenaged grandson found much that he liked. The service was attentive and kind. Even after many times visiting with different groups, the Cafe Brio continues to impress.More

Outstanding meal with excellent level of service. Fine wine list. We both had the duck course, my sister the half portion, and I the full portion. Delicious. Very imaginative dessert options. Ice cream and sorbet made in house. Highly recommended fine dining in Victoria.

Our visit to Cafe Brio, found by an almost random search on the TA site, resulted in probably the most enjoyable meal of our 3 weeks trip through Canada and Alaska. The quality of the food was absolutely top standard, the availability of half portions...a brilliant idea in the land of outsize meals and the enthusiasm and skill of our our head waiter (Mike?) all combined to make a memorable although unpretentious evening. "Fine dining"? - we had plenty of that, but this was much preferred! Half portions of mushroom risotto followed by half portions of the halibut and for me an additional half of the scallops and pork cheek, followed by a light dessert all worked perfectly. Well done, you people!More

My two friends and I had dinner at Cafe Brio on Friday evening. We were seated in the small alcove by the front door and the patio doors were open. A magical setting! I had not been back to Cafe Brio since the pandemic and...I was happy to see that the food was still excellent and the service was just right! A great place for dinner. Thank you.More

While we are only occasional visitors to Victoria, we have and look forward to dining at Cafe Brio every time we are in town. Wonderful traditional Italian menu, friendly/attentive service and excellent chef/kitchen. One of the best features, for us, is that many menu items...are offered at both full and half portion offerings. Without a healthy overcharge for the option. As seniors we can not, and choose not to, overeat at meals. Face it “take home” is never as good. All saying, our dinner bottom line is equivalent to any/many of our other restaurant dinners. The difference is that we can truly enjoy an appetizer and dessert, without feeling stuffed with too much entree, no matter how good. Too much of anything is simply too much. Go for the gusto and taste a full sample of the delicious menu courses. We often plan trips to Victoria and dinner at Cafe Brio as part of special occasions. Wonderful New Years one year pre-pandemic, took home balloons, also Birthdays and are going for our 55 anniversary this year. The experience is that good, trust us!More

The host greets you with such friendliness and the service is good. The atmosphere is great with a variety of pictures on the dark walls -- like eating in a classy art gallery. Italian cuisine is excellent but pricey. The upscale restaurant serves half portions...(eg. $21 half steak or $39 for full portion) with a selection of seafood and meat dishes. Vegetarian dishes available. Large selection of wines. Reservations highly recommended; they have dedicated regulars. A lovely place to meet friends or family and have good food and service. You will feel the difference in your wallet. Metered street parking until 6pm.More

A very nice time. The food is good. It's a decent value. Cage brio has a laid back atmosphere that does not require too much dressing up. One of the better places to eat in town.

We liked this restaurant because they offer half potions so you can browse their wonderful menu and turn it into a tasting experience. We had the gnocchi, the roasted kale buds and an ahi tuna dish. Nice intimate atmosphere and good service.

Treat yourself to great food and amazing service. The way you are greeted upon arrival starts what will be an outstanding dining adventure. Salamis, pickles and mustards all made in house are a must and the butter lettuce salad is exceptional. A perfectly cooked rib...eye (best ever) ) served with mouthwatering mushroom risotto and the Albacore Tuna Puttanesca are remarkable. The whole evening was made even more special by our server, Peggy. Also, they offer corkage.More

We have not been to Cafe Brio for quite a while for a number of reasons (ours, not theirs) but decided to go tonight and an excellent decision it was. From our arrival where were greeted by Greg who still remembered where we usually sat...to our server whose name, unfortunately, we don't know but had served us many times before and has been working there for 25 years we felt very welcomed. We had the butter lettuce salad, penne, pork loin and Brio steak all of which were excellent. Truffles came home for dessert but haven't had any of them yet....sure they will be decadent. Highly recommended.More

Great service and very good food! It was a crowded evening in this neighborhood joint and after a nice dinner we understood why it was fully booked. Greg, your host, is a personable but busy host. Menu is on the small side, but most dishes...are offered in half or full sizes. For us the half sizes were perfect. A steak, a fish, pork and a lamb shank. No chicken.three or for salads (recommend Glen’s). For the holidays Glenn’s nog was a perfect dessert.More

My wears hearing aids and did not have to turn them down. There is no live music and any background music is low. Conversation levels are low, there are many Seniors and Adults. Like the 1/2 portion sizes.
