Great service and the oysters were delicious but the mains are lacking. Rice was overcooked and the bouillabaisse was mainly mussels , onions and some peppers, two shrimp and about 3 clams. So quantities are not impressive for the price.

I’m happy to report after 11 years since the last time we’ve dined at Ferris’ these guys are still serving the same fantastic food in Victoria. And thanks to a last-minute change of plans, the grandparents decided to babysit so we ended up going to...a grown-up New Year’s Eve dinner. Everything from the Negroni to the steak, to the crème brûlée and all the oysters in between was fantastic.More

Very nice restaurant, decent service. Mostly decent food. Somethings like the octopus were outstanding. Two at our table had the sablefish which was disappointing- fish skin was overly crisped and was black as were the “rice cakes” that managed to be both overly blackened and...rubbery. Would have been a huge improvement to use a thicker cut of cod as the thin filet just wasn’t great. One of the bouillabaisse served was missing the aioli and the prawns and was served without fresh, local fish as promised and instead used the salt cod from another fish stew dish entirely. The other serving of Bouillabaisse was as expected and enjoyed. Clam pasta dish was good. Desert was hit and miss too. Both creme brûlée’s had the sugar so blackened that it was bitter and the Tahitian vanilla was barely apparent. Surprisingly the brownie was outstanding. Will be awhile before we return. PS Oysters were good but not unlike anywhere else in the city.More

I have patronized this restaurant for many years. My wife, family and I have for several years loved Ferris. Today my family, my wife and I wanted to have a great evening, the restaurant is still great, wonderful service, good food and my grand children...are treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, our experience today was marred because of the venue being uncomfortably noisy due to the horribly loud music. If you want to enjoy your company and being able to carry a conversation, go somewhere else. GB&DMore

We were thrilled to get a reservation and even more thrilled with the food and service - SIM was our waitress. and was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had several appetizers - we thoroughly enjoyed the oysters, smelts and mushroom and cashew pâté.

Four of us stopped here for Appetizers and drinks in the late afternoon before dinner. The place was very crowded during happy hour (always a good sign). We were seated on the patio in the back. Cocktails and oysters were all we had. The oysters...were nice and fresh and the cocktail I had was good (Aperol Spritz). Staff were very busy but kind and helpful.More

I go here every time I go to Victoria. I don’t eat much seafood, but my husband loves the oysters here. This past visit we got the truffle mushroom pâté and the beet hummus to start. Both were delicious. My husband got a dozen oysters...as his main, and I got the chicken penne soup. That soup is the reason that I keep coming back to this restaurant. It’s AMAZING. Get it. Service is always great, and the patio is so cozy.More

Make reservations! We waited about 30min outside but it was WORTH IT! My husband tried oysters for the first time and really enjoyed it and had the Laska at the servers recommendation which he really enjoyed. I had the Chicken and Penne soup and well...as the Korean Fried Chicken Burger and both were so good. Our food also came really quickly which was awesome! We sat in the back patio area and it was so beautiful. Loved the atmosphere. I also found the prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.More

Depends on the time of year. Summer time I definitely would make a reservation. Bar seating is actually a lot of fun with lively conversations.
