Today we ordered a high tea from the White Heather Tea Room to take home. As we are still in the middle of Covid 19 we couldn’t go out for our traditional Christmas high tea. We ordered one of their regular high teas and a...gluten free high tea for my husband. They came nicely packaged in boxes, one for him and one for me. The assortment of sandwiches and cakes were delicious. We had also purchased a few small bottles of wines so we could have a flight of three wines with our tea. I would highly recommend the White Heather Tea Room! Great service, lovely food!More

We ordered Wee Tea to go for my daughter's birthday. It was delicious and lots of food for the four of us. Will return for dine-in tea one day soon.

As locals we have been here before. We wanted to support local businesses during Covid, and were out to celebrate a family member's birthday. But we feel that the $35 each for two High Tea servings -- $70 -- was outrageous considering how little we...were given. We had been given one tiny scone each, three Ritz cracker sized sandwiches each, and three tiny tart sized items. My seven items fit onto the palm of my small hand. The website shows ample servings on the tiered stands used for High Tea, but ours had the bottom plate with the three containers and not much of the curd, jam, and whipped cream...about one teaspoon each. The remaining two levels were barely covered with the tiny food items, absolutely ridiculous. Their website photos show another story but in reality this is an utter rip off, and in no way possible can they justify what they served us. If this business expects locals to return then they had better think twice before this kind of thing is repeated. Not returning, have lost my trust for this place.More

My mom and I booked a last minute stay at a close by resort in ocean bay and asked our concierge for an afternoon tea recommended. He suggested the The White Heather, and to be put simply we were not disappointed!!! Service was amazing, food...was incredible (and we’ve done some of the most expensive high teas around) this was amazing! Tea selection was great- I recommend the Mad Hatter tea! We had the most lovely time- would definitely recommend, but make a reservation, they seemed busy!More

This restaurant offers the best afternoon tea in Victoria for the price. I order the "Not so Wee Tea" for $39 and I always have to bring home a doggy bag. The 3-tiered display is wonderful, the varieties of tea offered is plentiful (you are...offered a tray of dried teas to sniff to help you choose your tea) and everything on your tray is explained to you, which I appreciate as I am a novice at eating dainty finger sandwiches and petite desserts. Gluten-free available too! They also serve lunch items like soups, sandwiches, and salads. The only thing lacking is a gorgeous view but the resto is tidy and service is kind. Make sure to reserve as this place is busy in the spring to autumn months; there are also minimum charges per person and seating time limits during busy times.More

Great place for an Afternoon tea! - Wish the decor was more elevated to match the quality of service and food.

The beautiful and cozy "White Heathers Tea Room" is for years mostly enjoyed by locals. They come alone or in a group to celebrate a birthday or only to feel good and pampered. The Tea Room lives very well in the shadow of the very...pricy "High Tea" offered by our famous "Empress Hotel" next to the Inner Harbour. So, if you want to brag at home, you know where you have to go to have your "High Tea", but otherwise...More

This is by far our favourite tea room we have visited in Victoria. The group of us has visited twice so far this year. The last visit they were happy to accommodate an extra person onto our reservation on short notice as well. Great value...for what you get because everything they serve is amazing! We got the Holiday Muckle Tea this time, everyone enjoyed it. Great service as well. We will be back again in the New year.More

I've been going to the White Heather Tearoom for years. It was always one of my favourite places for a proper tea, but sadly they are now serving their scones with whipped cream and not Devonshire cream. This is a deal-breaker for me. Considering the...cost of the tea, I am shocked that they would pull a switch like this. There also seems to be a problem with the reservation system and getting back-logged. We had a reservation, yet still had to wait with a multiple other groups of people who also had reservations and were left waiting. We had to wait for about 1/2 an hour after our reservation time. I would have easily overlooked this if the tea was what it used to be.More

A friend and I coughed up $40 each for the premium tea tray (it had another name) and it was worth every penny. Several tiers of goodies, not to be missed. The liquid refreshment was good too...all kinds of choice! Warm, comfy ambiance in this...small but satisfying place.More
