We decided to stop in after a walk around the harbor. We sat along the outdoor bar and chatted with the locals. The service was great! The spicy Bloody Marys are fabulous. We also had some ahi poke that was very fresh. Great place to...unwind for a bit!More

Service is very good, so is the food. The portions are very big. Prices are moderate but value for your buck. Atmosphere is a bit dark but pleasant, water view from most tables. The lounge side of Bellevilles was quite nice. Can also get food...on this side. Same great serviceMore

We stopped by Day’s In (Victoria waterfront) for a drink before dinner. We were impressed with the happy hour specials. Problem was they add an additional 10% to the bill for “some reason”. We asked two staff and got different reasons for the add on...but the main point is there was no notice! So basically - it is expensive and not the prices you expect!More

Past experiences have been good ones but not this time. It was early afternoon; the place was very quiet, and service was ok, but food was not. Fish (halibut) & chips & 2 coffees for $75; the expectation was for top notch, but we were...very disappointed. We were even more disappointed with the waitress' reaction and response when I explained why I didn't leave a tip. We all have bad days so maybe kitchen staff and our waitress were all having a bad day. I don't know. (?) I do know this experience ruined that day, but it never will again. I am also providing a message directly to the restaurant management in order to provide them with additional details.More

There on a quieter evening and had a great view from my table of the harbour. Good pub style food and service was good. A meal taken away as well.

Beware!!!!! Food was a bit costly but good. The problem is when you get the bill. There is a 10% BCH Fee added to your total. Which is NOT mentioned anywhere on the menu. When we inquired we were told it is a fee that...the owner charges to help cover extra covid cost and employee benefits. So sneaky and shady! Totally tainted our experience.More

9% plus Gst for employee health benefits is too sneaky. They are trying to slide it by the unsuspecting customers. And then the audacity of presenting the credit card terminal with a minimum 18% suggested tip on the total bill - on food and drink...okay; not okay on taxes and this employee health benefits bogus charge. They may dupe unsuspecting visitors; they won't dupe me again as I will never return (though it is but a 10 minute walk from home). And..a few months ago I was given Bellvilles $50 card. In order to use it I had to swallow hard and accept the EHB charge in order to use the card. I used only $25 that time; the server confirmed that there was $25 left on the card. As a result, despite of the distaste of the 9% EHB charge, we went for dinner on October 17th. At payment I was told there was zero on the gift card (not the $25 expected). $25 value addisappeared into the ether. If you are considering eating at Bellevilles please do so with eyes wide open. I recommend that you avoid Bellevilles.More

I'm just going through my vacation receipts and also discovered Belleville's added on a 9% "BCH Fee". And their tip calculator used this fee and GST in the calculation of the tip. I agree with another reviewer, totally bogus, I feel used and ripped off.

We arrived late afternoon when it was quiet and were shown to a table straight away. Our server, Amanda, gave us time to decide. She took our drinks order - beers for both of us - while we decided what to eat. I chose the..."Get Shorty" dip with fries and my wife opted for Caeser Salad with chicken breast. Both arrived promptly and we were pleased that we'd skipped starters as the portions were generous. My fries were the best I've eaten in a long time, skin on, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Very well seasoned too. My wife's salad was also well up to the mark. We both had room for ice cream sundaes, caramel for her, berries for me. Again delicious! Amanda was attentive without being obtrusive. 10 out of 10.More

The extra service fee is gone. Portions are substantial, you can split a 2-pieces halibut and chips dinner and still be well fed. Bottomless soup makes a great lunch. The belleville burger was fantastic, as was the shredded pork sandwich. Beer and wine specials are...available every day. Pet friendly and the servers were terrific!More

Usually like to sit outside. We sat inside and were well looked after by friendly staff. But not keen on sports bars so only stayed for a couple. Will be back in the near future to enjoy more beer.

Had lunch at the Belleville Watering Hole yesterday (Aug 26/22). We found the prices higher than most other places and they added an extra 9% plus GST for a "BCH Fee". Totally bogus. This is a rip-off. What next an umbrella fee?
