About
Welcome to the Irish Times Pub, where excellent design and authenticity are at the heart of downtown Victoria's BEST IRISH PUB! Located at 1200 Government Street, the Irish Times Pub is home to 190 seats over two floors with 80 seats available on our patios, opening onto both Government Street and historic Bastion Square. Our concept goes far beyond mere architecture though. The Irish Times opened with everything it takes to make a pub successfully Irish, including authentic Live Irish music, 7 nights a week. The tradition of Ireland has also been extended to our menu, which has been developed on a philosophy of creating traditional Irish food and drink that is both contemporary and funky, showcasing

We visited the Irish Times during the “circuit breaker,” which restricted pubs and restaurants to only serving on patios. We sat in their covered and heated tent/patio, and I had an Irish Coffee with the Guinness chocolate brownie. Yum. No complaints. The Irish Times Pub...is making the best of some very difficult times.More

Went with friends for happy hour which was very decent. However one ordered a glass of wine off the happy hour selection. Nothing extravagant just Monday you can buy for under $20 a bottle. Her bill was $17.50 per glass!!!! Plus taxes & tip. I...have been to 5 star restaurants but never seen a glass of mediocre wine that much. Beware!!!! Stick to happy hour.More

The staff were awesome! Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was ok (not great) but our big surprise for the night was $16 (plus taxes and tip) for a glass of Pinot Grigio! Be very aware of the price of things before you order here...

soupy tasteless meat base and scoops of mashed potatoes on top?...that is not Shepherds Pie in any country..especially when it arrives in a soup bowl and advertised as an entree...the management should be ashamed for charging money for that.

Went here during the COVID-19 pandemic and sat outside on their patio. Unlike many of the other restaurants in Victoria during the pandemic, Happy Hour at the Irish Times Pub ran until 6pm. We chose their salt 'n' pepper chicken wings and a margarita from...their Happy Hour menu and their Irish beef stew from their main menu. Both were delicious! The beef stew was hearty and filling, as you would hope, with good flavour and a decent (but not overly generous) amount of beef. The chicken wings were tender, meaty, and very tasty. Service was friendly. Would recommend and come here again.More

We've been trying hard to stay with establishments that offer outdoor seating during these crazy covid times. IT offers seating on two sides of the building, one a bit more in the shade and the other is the sun which is perfect on cooler nights....We had the famous fish and chips with Cold drinks. Great service as always and excellent meals. Great stop.More

My wife and I recently visited Victoria and found this honey hole on Sunday which happened to be all day happy hour. We had a few drinks and enjoyed the beef nachos, avocado shrimp salad as well as salt and pepper wings. All were very...good the nachos are big enough for two and had lots of toppings as well as sour cream and salad that was really good. Great service and very nice to see inside. Worth the stop on a hot sunny day. Great spot.More

Best pint of Guinness I’ve had in Canada. Bartender “Bella” was great, quick, friendly, great suggestions. If your lost looking for a pint look no further. Try the shepherds pie.
