I have been procrastinating on writing this review for what was one of the worst food and service experiences we have ever had. I am now documenting our experience. After we arrived and were seated at a table in the lobby of an office building,...we were ignored for ten minutes before our other guests arrived. After everyone arrived we ordered a bottle of white wine. It arrived ten minutes later whereby the waiter stated that “normally a bottle is good for five people”. We suggested that he could probably make it work for six. He proceeded to pour about five ounces into the first four glasses leaving a about two ounces for the last two. Frustrated we ordered two extra glasses. With the subsequent two bottles we ordered he proceeded to repeat the process. We ended up pouring wine into each other’s glasses to balance the pours. Complete and utter incompetence on the part of the server. Please hire more competent staff or provide them with some training. For dinner one of our diners ordered the ‘special’ pasta ($45). It was so undercooked it was inedible and had to be sent back. They brought another one, slightly better cooked, but entirely devoid of the stated ingredients (mushrooms, nuts, guanciale)) Extremely underwhelming, especially at that price. Three of us ordered the “veal” Oso Bucco. What arrived was a large shank bone of an animal that bore no resemblance to any veal we have ever seen. The meat was so tough it could not be eaten. All three were sent back. It is also important to mention that the Oso Bucco came with a plate of polenta that looked like a plop on baby poop. Seriously, is this the best they can do? After sending back the “veal” two of us ordered the Penne with peas and gorgonzola. It was quite good. One of the diners, however, ordered beef tenderloin ($45). The tiny piece of beef arrived alone sitting on the same plop of polenta. Seriously? We never had an apology for the extremely poor food quality. Our group of diners will never return to Zambris.More
