The service received tonight was almost laughable with how many errors occurred and i while i understand the struggles of the labour force after covid, this was the worst service i have ever received for a dine in restaurant that resulted in a $0 tip...and a manager no where to be found. There were a total of 5 of us dining (1 local and 4 visitors) and while we were excited to be in Victoria, the service definitely left the group fairly upset with what had been a great trip so far. Heres the sequence of events: 1. Asked for a cup of hot water for one of the diners, we were told explicitly that they dont serve hot water, but if we wanted to buy a hot tea they could accommodate our request 2. One member of our party has dietary restrictions and we asked for her meal (Terriyaki chicken) to be served with sauce on the side so she could control how much sauce she put on it. The dish came out as normal with no apology, When we said we ordered it was sauce on the side, they said that this is the way they cook it. 3. Instead of arguing with the wait staff and sending the dish back, we ordered different dish that would address the dietary restriction. This dish came out 45 minutes later as it was obvious they had forgotten to key it in and we had to get it to go. 4. One of the dishes ordered was a simmering korean stew that was suppose to come with 3 side dishes and on a heating element. The dish came out and we had to chase staff down staff to light the heating element for the dish. And no side dishes came out during the course of the meal and when asked they "forgot" to bring it out and that also had to be packed up to go 5. No water refills, no napkins, no other cutlery except a spoon. Stay away, definitely will not be back and our local friend was so apologetic as this was also their first experience that they could not in good conscious recommend this place either to any of his local friends or co-workers.More

Came across this resto accidentally and was extremely happy that we did. The food was terrific and there was a good choice of daily specials for a very reasonable price. I had the dip bop jeyuk chicken - nice and spicy - which came with...a small salad and rice. Hubby had hot stone bibimbap - which he could make spicy or not with the sauce on the side. It also came with miso soup and some little side dishes and salad - a real bargain at $16. We ate outside, to the envy of passerbys, and service was quite fast. We will visit again to try some of their other Korean specialties.More

I am not sure what has happened in the past year to this place but oh boy! The food quality went down to the gutter so did the service and music choice. Gangsta rap is not the best choice for a dinner out with kids...and even on your own. That's a no go next time.More

2nd visit to this hidden gem. Located in Trounce Alley next to the Quasar arcade. We got the fire pan beef short ribs with Udon noodles. Service was friendly and efficient. It starts with a hot plate and they place a large iron pan on...the top. On the left you have a nice blend of cheddar and swiss cheese. In the middle sits a generous amount of short ribs with enoki mushrooms in a fiery broth. To the right there is sweet corn in a cream sauce. From a western perspective, this combination seems a little strange. However, give it a try. The blend of flavors was AMAZING! Halfway through the meal they bring out the noodles and add them to the broth. We ordered one star on the heat index and it was perfect. Just the right amount of heat but closer to ** then *. Highly recommended.More

I took my son to Park's for an early meal. We had frequently wondered about the restaurant. Their were 2 very young servers and they were clearly more interested in circling the young guests that arrived after we did. We waited for a good 10...minutes before a server came back to our table. We had to ask multiple times for water. The tables which were empty on our arrival were filling up and getting beverages and food and we waited for someone to come take our order. When our order was taken, we did not see our server again until the food arrived, in 3 trips, and I asked for our waters again. We had to find a server for eating implements and once we got them, we never saw our server again. We ate our meal and had to get up and find a server to give us our bill. The food was okay, but it certainly was not memorable. Sadly the service was and we will never return.More

Upon arrival we were pretty excited to see that the restaurant was packed and the ambience was exactly what we were looking for. I’ve been serving for 10 years and I was embarrassed for the staff. We were out at an awkward two tables put...together that were different sizes for a party of 8 and we were 4. Before the glasses even hit the table I had to point out lipstick on our water glasses. The food was seriously so good. However it was hard to enjoy conversation as we kept having to hunt down our waitress (we don’t even know if we had one we kept having different people come over) and ask for more drinks. Our bill was over 200$ and it’s a good thing our friend paid because I would have tipped 5% and given some cash to the kitchen. Anyways, needs some serious work in the service department. Food was spectacular.More

It didn't start out so promising. The waitress didn't have a clue as to what their craft beers were like, and the gyoza's we ordered as an appetizer while waiting for our 3rd party were excessively deep fried, 'pasty' tasting and otherwise pretty ordinary. And...the loud mix of hip-hop music with "Play that Funky Music White Boy" made for a horrible ambience. And the menu---it's a mess. Japanese mixed in with Korean, and certain dishes placed in what seemed like a random order. But things got so much better once we ordered and received our three Korean dishes---a Hot Pot Be Bim Bap, a Beef Bulgogi, and a Hot Pot ddenjang (savory liquid rather than spicy). All three dishes were wonderful! That ddenjang was a surprise as I never had it before, and it did have a bit of a kick---just right! The marinade from the Bulgogi was perfect (even though the beef might have been a bit 'chewy' for some tastes). And a lovely and tasty bebimbap. Our waitress was attentive, the portions generous, and the meal was not overly expensive. The 3 stars for service is only because there is no spot for 'ambience'. They could do something about the ambience. How about some Japanese or Korean music?More

We had a variety of Korean and Japanese dishes. All were good. The restaurant has a pleasing decor, the service good, attentive and plenty of tea served. The prices were reasonable. We noticed the dishes came out randomly and as ready. We were fine with...that as we were sharing, but if the order of the dishes coming to the table is important to you, say so when ordering. We will return to try more dishes.More

Park's has become one of our go-to restaurants in Victoria. We always have a strategy too -- we stick to the Korean food and looks for our sushi elsewhere. The Korean BBQ is amazing -- the meat and spices grill up so nicely. Order some...extra rice cakes (large noodle) because they are so delicious in the mix. And the kimchi pancake is amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful.More

We ordered the beef bulgogi, and it was good. Nothing more, nothing less, and that is not a negative comment. The restaurant delivers solid food. The side dishes are sparse...especially the kimchi. I've eaten many times in S. Korea and I am used to a...plethora of side dishes with never-ending replenishment. I had to ask for a second dish of kimchi (which was pretty good by the way). Would I put this at the top of my list for Korean restaurants in Victoria? Not sure--I'm going to try some other ones. But I would return and try some of other dishes.More

Solid choice for tasty food. I had the bibimbop. Spicy sauce on the side. I really enjoyed it. I did not enjoy all the mini side dishes, one was delicious, others were not. I'll return. Give it a try.

We had lunch here and got some Korean food. Very authentic, very good, very reasonable. And when they say it is hot, it is really hot.

I understand that the restaurant is owned by and service staff are mostly Japanese, but the cooks are largely Korean. I ordered Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap and my wife ordered Sun Du Bu. Both are Korean dishes. They were both excellent and very authentic....Service was great, prices were great. I didn't try any Sushi or other Japanese so can't attest, but if you like authentic Korean I think you will be satisfied with this establishment.More
