Our hotel recommended this restaurant; although was a little concerned by recent TA reviews. Shouldn't have been concerned at all - great welcome from all staff despite no booking; only a 30 min wait for a table at the bar. Fantastic guidance on food and...More

Well, what can you say? Overpriced and pretentious. Been in Victoria a week, and this has got to be the worst meal to date. Looking at the photos posted, it must have gone off. If you want a desert, we were offered a menu with a...More

Cool vibe to restaurant so went in with high hopes. Tried the chefs menu. Food was ok / good (smoked salmon was really good). Our main waitress was terrible and just not friendly nor engaging at all - especially for a more upper scale place...More

If you're charging that kind of price range, then it comes with expectations. We had friends visiting from out of town and we wanted to have a great meal. We had a reservation and my husband was sat blocking the aisle in front of the...More

I had a great experience the last time I was here and that was why I decided to go back. This time again I enjoyed the majority of the wonderful dishes we ordered. I noticed that no ingredients were listed for their appetizer menu items...More

One my favorite places in Victoria! You mus get the polenta cubes, they are truly fantastic. Everything is always fresh and interesting. We had an amazing non alcoholic beet drink that was like the best sno cone you have ever had.

We opted for Olo when we couldn't get into TA's top rated restaurant and couldn't have been happier. We sat at the bar which is are preferred choice anyway. The apparent simplicity of the menu does not capture the flavours within. The bartender was awesome...More

After a huge delay on the Washington State Ferry and rushing to make our dinner reservation we arrived at OLO. We were greeted by a very friendly person who became our server. The restaurant is smaller than I thought. Rustic and comfortable. After we relaxed...More

It's a small restaurant and takes reservations up to 10 people. It's best if you check out their website for more info.

Relationships are forged over food at OLO - whether its friends and family enjoying a boat-to-table brunch or Executive Chef & Owner Brad Holmes finding farm-fresh ingredients from hard-working neighbours. Delicious food, laughter and good conversation are always on the menu. 'Olo' means 'hungry' in Chinook Jargon, a derivative language of English, French, Chinese and Chinook, and just like the Pacific Northwest was once a gathering place for traders, OLO is where the community comes together when hungry for more than just a meal. Serving up fresh local produce, Chef Brad is part of the Slow Food Chefs Alliance and switches up the sustainable menus depending on what's coming through the kitchen doors every day. Each dish celebrates life in B.C., using only the best ingredients available and working with amazing farmers, fishermen and foragers to provide an experience that captures the essence of Vancouver Island. Handcrafted seasonal cocktails showcase the best of Vancouver Island products and the bar program highlights the region's bounties with an impressive selection of B.C. distilleries, breweries and rare Canadian whiskeys. The thoughtfully curated wine list focuses on small-batch producers that showcase the Okanagan and Vancouver Island's best wineries, alongside premium international selections.
