The best sushi, salad (amazing dressing) and agedashi tofu etc. We will be sure to come back next time we are in Whistler. Thank you!

I don't like writing negative reviews so please look at our history and you will see that we are quite positive about the many places we visit. However, If you look up grouchy in the dictionary you might be surprised to see a photo of...some of the staff at Nagomi Sushi in Whistler BC. You could also try looking up the word surly... On entrance you are immediately made to feel like you are intruding on the receptionist's tranquility and that in sum you are an annoyance. No smile. just monosyllabic responses most of which consist of the word no.... Last night was not our first trip to Nagomi. The food is quite good. However, atmosphere is also very important in a dining experience and the atmosphere at Nagomi is definitely not great. It may be that they are aware that they have a very in demand product and realize that people will keep coming even if the staff is completely indifferent to the client experience. For a much more fun atmosphere and good Japanese fare ( the servers actually seem to enjoy what they do) we recommend Sushi Village .More
We try to make a r reservation for 10 people, even in two tables. And they didn’t alow us. They don’t undersand they are a service company and treat clients pourly. If I were you I wounld’t try to go
Family dinner at Nagomi. Great service, Good selection, liked the large beer. Quite formal by Whistler standards
Four of us came here for dinner. After reading the reviews, we left a bit underwhelmed. The fish was fresh and tasty but the presentation and quality were off. This review is mainly for the sushi rolls. The quantity of fish to rice is not...right. Way too much rice with a little fish in the middle and poorly rolled so everything breaks up on your plate while trying to eat with chopsticks. Think large, wide, half-inch pieces that fall apart while eating. They should know better how to roll sushi. Would recommend the beautiful roll though.More
We had a very peaceful relaxing day , after our spa , so we decided we are going eat closed to the resort only 10 mins walk to the Nagomi , not a fancy place , but casual and clean , not busy at all..., may be a week night , very relax ! ( Best way to enjoy Whistler is avoid Holidays and Weekend ) menu is traditional Japanese sushi , reasonable price , we order the Assorted Sashimi very fresh and colourful , nicely cut size , the salmon Kama very tasty , prawn tempura not oily crispy , , server she very friendly and look after so well , if you looking for a good quality not pricy traditional Japanese restaurant , Nagomi is good choice ! girlfriend love every dishes , truly recommend it .More
We were in Whistler for a week and ate here twice. The sushi is delicious and the sashimi was even better. Highly recommend the blue fin tuna and spider card rolls. Staff very friendly and efficient.
The restaurant served passable sushi (albeit too much rice for the pieces of fish) but seems more a take-out place than a restaurant. Specific issues: - Robata grill not staffed so no hot options (and no attempt to disclose this) - bland flavours - unpleasant...wait staff - seems management is either not paying enough or not watching over staff - Poor selection on the wine list - music choice totally wrong for the spaceMore
I've eaten at Nagomi twice now (first in January 2021), and the high standard was maintained on both visits. There's a nice range of sashimi, sushi, tempura and hot dishes. On this visit in late March, there was a special of fried tofu with a...savoury sauce and that was delicious. We also enjoyed the sashimi, rolls and hot dishes such as teriyaki chicken and braised pork. Everything was fresh, tasty and prepared with care and attention to detail. Nagomi is tucked into a quiet corner at Blackcomb and is much less frenetic than Sushi Village, and Nagomi's reservation policy is more agreeable than that at Sushi Village. I'd recommend Nagomi particularly for couples and groups of 4 who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of Sushi Village.More
Delicious food and great service!!! The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and I felt very safe with all the Covid precautions they were taking!
Although the food was acceptable, the hostess and manager were rude, unwelcoming, passive aggressive, and inconsiderate. Take out would have been a better option considering the fact that its environment is nothing special anyways.
We enjoyed an evening of ordering round by round p, taking it easy and in nor rush. The food and drink was excellent, service was great and we would go again. The specialty roll - sunshine - was awesome. And so was the beautiful roll....Go for it - yoah!.More
Thank you so much Brian, we look forward to hosting you again soon!
We came to this restaurant as we wanted a sushi dinner while we were in Whistler. The usual Japanese fare. We were disappointed that several items on the menu were not available that night. We ordered a variety of items (noodles, rolls, soups, etc). Not...bad Japanese food, but we come from a city where there are 1-2 sushi restaurants on every block. Good sushi, but nothing supremely spectacular.More
We tried a couple of times to get into Nagomi but without a reservation it seemed impossible. When we eventually got in, we were not disappointed, we loved everything that we ordered. We tried to do takeout a week later but it was going to...be an hour wait which was not going to work. Highly recommend this restaurant!More
Really good sushi right on blackcomb village. Had a few appetizers and rolls and they were all excellent. Having said that it took them forever to make them. Separately, while the staff was friendly, it felt like they wanted you out of there quickly so...they could turn the table. With three kitchen bedding so slow, it's something that's difficult to do. If management wants to churn tables, rush the kitchen, not the patrons...More
