The soup was phenomenal. The restaurant was ok. You walk by the bar to get to your table. The starter and main courses weren’t memorable. Too fancy without any congruity.

Really creative (without being odd) and thoughtfully prepared cuisine. Had a very nice dinner of roasted snapper, a very fresh, substantial salad, and celery root soup that obliterated the rest of the meal from memory. Not likely to stop obsessing about this one anytime soon!...More

Was really looking forward to a great meal after a wonderful day in whistler. Started with warmed olives- very nice. Elk tartar and chicken liver parfait- great- only problem is the wafer is way too thin for the dense meat- crumbled very easily. Roasted B.C....More

Awesome dinner at Alta Bistro. Had pan seared tuna, oyster and baked fish with sourdough pasta. Would recommend!

The restaurant is small and has a nice vibe to it. The menu our large group had was a set one and everything was of very high quality and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, very good overall.

Beautiful little restaurant with amazing food and a focus on quality ingredients sourced as locally as possible. While not a vegan restaurant they still have enough options to make me feel like I had a choice in my meal, and their customer service was stellar...More

Description
Locally inspired cuisine set in a casual bistro atmosphere. Chef Nicholas Cassettari combines his classic training, top tier experience, and world travels with the best of B.C.'S bounty to create the fine flavours at Alta Bistro. Service is casual and prompt in the dining room and bar. The wine list is French focused, with the best of B.C. As well as international selections (many by the glass) with Enomatic machines dispensing fine and eclectic selections to pair with Alta's cuisine. Mixologists behind our bar craft some of Whistler's finest cocktails. The cozy bistro atmosphere is lively and welcoming. Reservations are a must.
