We had a great night out here! Damien was absolutely fantastic, entertaining and caring. Couldn't have asked for better service. Chef Luke touched the table after the main course and we had the chance to chat for a bit. The food was truly amazing, 5...stars! It is a steakhouse and the meat was a highlight, the octopus appetizer though is truly to die for.More

The prices are a bit extreme for the quality of the product. Service was wonderful and that made up for some of the missteps in the kitchen. We ordered a ribeye to share - Medium and it came out on the much more rare side....The lobster bisque was cold and not really that good - which they did remove from the bill which was already out of control. The best dishes for at the table was their pastas - and happened to be the least expensive. We are being generous in my mind on the stars but I think the people were wonderful and the food less than wonderful. The other restaurant at the Four Seasons will be our choice next time we stay there since SideCut is just not ready for the fine dining experience that you would expect for that price point.More

Ordered sirloin medium rare with the Sidecut house wine. It was simply excellent. The staff is friendly. A strong recommendation!

The food and service were absolutely wonderful! When we mentioned that several of the mussels had not popped open, they brought us a wonderful assortment of mussels, scallops and shrimp! One caveat: Expensive!

Too expensive vs quality vs place vs price. Service was good. Food was not exceptional. With those prices, you expect to have a higher quality. And I did a lot of star restaurants with the same prices and higher quality. Or did we pay more...for the place? I prefer to pay more for better food than for the place.More

1. The seafoid paella was poor... The rice was salty with unidentifiable seasonings (my fault). 2 shrimp and 4 small mussels. That was it. I don't think this dish is worthy of being in the menu of a 5 star hotel. 2. The potato bread...was infused with rosemary which overpowered the pure bread palate... and the maple butter it was served with was too sweet. 3. The 4 Oz lobster side dish was served with raw chery tomato on top which did not go well with the warm meat. Also the server did not bring the proper tool to remove the meat from the shell.More

We enjoyed our visit to the fullest with appetizer, main course and dessert. Everything we ate was of very good quality and the Ribeye was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. But also the appetizers (Hand-Cut Black Angus Tartare, Grilled Octopus Tentacle)...and dessert were of excellent quality and tasted exquisite. The service was perfect and the waiter's recommendations for food and drink fully convinced us. It was an all-around successful, but also quite expensive evening.More

The legendary Thursday BBQ has returned to the SIDECUT! I asked around if Chef Arty was in the house. Sadly hardly anyone even recognized the name. Sigh. I was left hoping someone of material merit was in the saddle. Patiently waited for the starting gun,...which was very subtle this trip. Made the rounds, met Chef Michael who recommended the hot smoked beef brisket. To the eye, very nice slices with a delicate surface char and an ever so slight hint of pink in the center. Game On. Back at the table, I was not disappointed. Possibly the best beef brisket I have every eaten, certainly in the top three of my foodie life, and every bit as good at the best brisket I have enjoyed at prominent eateries in the Carolinas. So ride on Chef Micheal! The quinoa chilli and corn bread earned many approvals as did the paella. Certainly the best paella I have enjoyed in Canada. And better than my own so do give it a try. The desert bar was focused on the children, which was appropriate as the BBQ was not. And why worry about desert when the main plates were fabulous?More

I came here with a group of friends for a celebration. We had a late night reservation. Didn't realize that they were behind another restaurant where you had to enter through one to get to Sidecut (or where the same restaurant but two different names...for the two different areas?). Anyways, it was everything we expected. Decent food for the price you pay. If you like fine dining, then this is the place for you. If you don't care much for it, you can probably get better value elsewhere. We appreciate the restaurant for accommodating our food allergies. Dress code is resort casual but it seems like a loose definition when you look around the room. Parking is via the hotel valet. Make sure you get your server to validate before leaving.More
