We came here for the breakfast buffet and paid $41 per person for a mediocre selection - definitely overpriced! Of course, can't comment on the other meals at this restaurant as we didn't try, but I'd avoid the breakfast buffet.

It is half a step off the usual Whistler plaza circuit, but this restaurant is worth the effort. Lovely views of the mountains (with a patio), beautifully prepared and creative food, and good service. This time round, we particularly enjoyed the burrata salad, the mushroom...ravioli and the steelhead. We always enjoy our dining experience here. A gem.More

Really disappointing level of service. Firstly tried to tell us that the white wine we ordered was really a rose to pass it off. Then admitted they were out of stock. Ordered another white, also out of stock. Chicken was undercooked and was told that...was how it should be cooked. Nonsense. Frankly all about excuses and no ownership of errors or mistakes. Maitre d’ came over to say chicken was fine but admitted he hadn’t actually seen the dish to make his own assessment. Professionals are supposed to be responsible. This restaurant was not. Chicken can be underdone - just take it away and re cook it, don’t tell me it’s fine to eat when it isn’t. Wine can be out of stock, don’t try and pass off a rose as the white we actually ordered from same producer. No real apology, made us feel unwelcome and we asked to finish meal pay and leave as quickly as possible. For a hotel of Westin repute and how much we have paid to stay here I won’t be sorry to leave. Have a think about what service means to a customer……More

A dinner with friends that wound up being an extra special evening. It felt like all the staff in the restaurant were working together to make sure we had a nice meal, and even some not working in the restaurant such as Darren S. The...restaurant space is bright, open and comfortable. Lyndsay, our server, made us feel welcome from the beginning and took very good care of us throughout the entire meal. Moreover, we were deeply impressed by Chef Adnan's creations and hospitality, coming to our table several times to ensure that we were enjoying what he had made. We loved the depth and creativity that is reflected in his cuisine, even with something as simple as a fruit platter that he turned into a superhero theme for our child. Thanks to all of the staff - we will definitely be back.More

Our family of 4 ate breakfast here daily while on vacation. We had 2 free buffets with our Marriott Elite status and paid for the other 2 ($41 CAN each). The buffet has a huge variety and includes espresso drinks and smoothies. I had 2...cappuccinos each day that would be $11 at the Starbucks nearby. The kitchen made custom omelettes and waffles for us as well. Waiters and waitresses were very friendly. Did not try to the smoothies but saw many people ordering them. If you’re a breakfast person, this is a good bet.More

My wife and I booked dinner at the Grill & Vine and this led to a series of events which resulted in the staff rising to the occasion in the most professional and helpful manner. Because I was on medicine, I could not have any...alcohol. Our waiter, Eddie, recommended substitutes in both my drink and food and arranged this with the chef. The mock Mojito was as good as I have had with rum. The alternate vinaigrette on the beef carpaccio not only worked but enhanced the flavour. Unfortunately, just as we were getting into our meal, my wife started to feel ill, got progressively worse very quickly and we had to stop and leave. This had nothing to do with the food or drink as my wife was subsequently diagnosed with other unrelated medical issues. Eddie offered a hotel courtesy car to get us back to our hotel. He referred us to the front desk, where we found the night manager, who had no hesitation in arranging this. We were then looked after by a porter, whose name I think is Sammy, who quickly drove us to where we had to go. We are grateful for the kind and considerate response by hotel staff to our emergency situation which was of the highest order in terms of service.More

We were staying at the Westin and had breakfast here every morning. The staff here are super friendly and lovely to chat to. Breakfast was a fantastic selection from the buffet, which we chose or you can order from the breakfast menu if you fancy...something else. Thank you to everyone at the Grill and VineMore

A very mediocre experience of which the general manager of The Westin should be ashamed. Saturday night and only half full when everything in Whistler was booked out, says it all really. There was no shortage of staff but they were all working in isolation...of each other with no apparent resturant manager. Everything toook forever to arrive: menus; drinks: food. Drinks required intervention and even then, it still took awhile. There is definietly a problem with the bar service/or delivery to the restaurant. While the food was tasty, our mains were not even look warm as no doubt they sat waiting for someone, anyone, to deliver them to our table. The deserts were not befitting of a 5 star hotel. The lemon tart was old, the basque cheescake average. Not the place it used to be. Stay away.More

The buffet breakfast here was amazing. As Marriott Platinum Elite, they were also complimentary. We had a great stay at the Westin and loved the restaurant.

The Westin is my go to lodging when visiting Whistler. Outstanding staff and property. Breakfasts are excellent, especially the eggs benedict. I usually dine out for dinner, but ate in at Grain and Vine this trip so I could catch up on work. Fantastic! The...beef carpaccio and albacore wrapped in pancetta were first rate. Nice selection of wines. And again, staff were outstanding. Will definitely have dinner here on the next trip up to Whistler.More

The manager of the restaurant Annie is very unprofessional and rude. Would never go back to this place. Put us at the high table even though I made a reservation 3 months in advance and the restaurant was half empty.

I was in Whistler for UBCM. One morning, the group of us from my community had a Minister meeting scheduled in the Westin Hotel. After the meeting, it was suggested that we all go to the Grill & Vine (located in the hotel) for breakfast....So we did. I ordered scrambled eggs, sausage, and sourdough toast. I don't remember much about it, so it must not have been spectacular. However, I do know that it filled me. The decor reminded me of a 70's bus depot for some reason. If they were trying to hit a retro vibe, then they nailed it. Would I come back again? Sure. Thanks.More

Nice restaurant, good service but always suspicious when the least expensive wine on the wine list is not in stock. I understand that it could be out of stock but that should be noted. We refused to order the next available bottle ( $20 more)...and simply chose glasses instead. However no complaints about the food and all in all we enjoyed our evening.More
