I have to eat gluten free and they did have options available. I ended up getting a salad with chicken in it. My boyfriend had the stew and wasn't overly thrilled. We simply found options that we enjoyed more elsewhere on the mountain. I could...see loving this place if you loved one of their limited options, I just didn't. Also, as a gluten free eater, I couldn't get their cinnamon roll which seemed to be a staple.More
Reknowned for its cinnamon buns (even with a sweet tooth one between four is enough) and in spite of the fact it closes at 3Pm (so you can’t hang around until lifts close and then ski down the mountain) we loved this little ski in...ski out restaurant. More European in size than the large canteen style competition it did good lunches with veggie options and good hot drinks. Great views and ambiance.More
Great place to stop for snacks or real tasty lunch. The veggie chilli is gluten free and is absolutely delicious, usually I'd go for a meat option but as the Moroccan beef stew (also gf) was sold out I tried this and was not disappointed,...good portion size and reasonably priced. Friendly service and my none-gf partner had to try the renowned cinnamon buns and again..... no disappointments. Will be back there before we finish our amazing holiday at this fabulous place.More
Nice small lodge with limited but tasty selection of food. I had the chicken noodle soup which was hearty. Make room for the famous cinnamon bun cooked here. Try and get a feshly baked one. They are soft and super sweet. On our second visit...the cinnamon bun was not fresh, quite hard so not as nice.
Easily reached from the top of Garbanzo Express chair.More
Perfectly situated on the Upper Whiskey Jack green run, the Chick Pea cafe has a quaint and cozy feel, unlike the main lodge. We enjoyed all of our snacks and meals there especially the chickpea curry and cinnamon rolls. It can get busy around lunchtime...and you should expect to share tables. If you stand outside with a piece of bread the birds will actually fly down and eat from your hand.More
I love this hut, great food and great staff (big shout out to Matt, another fellow Aussie!) I recommend their soups and Naan bread, perfect to warm you up on a cold day out. Easy to get to, just down from the Roundhouse at the...top (but a lot less packed at lunchtime and better vibe). As Arnie said, "I'll be back".More
Found this restaurant on our second day skiing in Whistler, less crowded than the Roundhouse and good value for money. Good choice from pizza, cinnamon buns, soup and stews. Large mugs for coffee and hot chocolate, which warmed us up given the -18 degrees outside....Ideal mountain hut, plenty of seating as long as you avoid peak meal times. Good place to meet up with friends and family during the day.More
