After reaching the Blackcomb mountain as part of the Peak 2 Peak experience, we went up further in the bus and chair lift from the 7th Heaven station. At the top of the skiing slopes there was this log hut serving food and hot drinks,...known as the Horstman Hut. It was drizzling on the slopes and that was making everyone feel cold. Their cups of Hot Chocolate was selling out before they could make the next batch. We had to wait in queue to get our cup filled. They also serve fast food like burgers, soup and goulash. The views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular and on a clear day you can enjoy the outdoor seating.More

The day we were there they were grilling burgers and sausages outside before you enter the restaurant. Oh, it smelled so good. We sat outside on the picnic tables to eat our lunch and to enjoy the fabulous views.

Perfect for that mid afternoon hot chocolate, sit on the terrace and admire the panorama. After you can walk up behind the hut and ski down the black run on the Blackcomb glacier all the way to Glacier Creek.

The venue is located on a peak of the skiing arena. It has indoor and outside seating with a great view. It is self service with a limited amount of food in “ski-hut-style”. The food is not cheap but good. Service is great.

Great location, very scenic views, one of the few places with historic charme. But food was average at best, attitude and service quality of staff was bad and lousy - what a pitty for such a great location.

Overlooking 7th Heaven and across from Whistler, Horstman has simple food that hits the spot. The deck can be cold but on a sunny windless day, is the best place to be.

At the top of Blackcomb mountain on a hot sunny day this hut was a welcome stop to buy water and baked goods including cookies and carrot loaf. Terrific view from the terrace.

This cute little hut with beautiful views serves a great goulash, with a frankfurter and mash potato on the side. Together with a Becks beer it feels like you are skiing in Austria! They also serve pies with gravy and mash potato so it caters...for all! When we visited it was quiet and easy to find a seat, and we had a great time. Highly recommended if you have had enough of the waffles at the Crystal HutMore

We were skiing at the top of Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler and getting very hungary. We took the 7th Heaven Express Lift to the top. As we got off the lift, the Hut was on our left. Unfortunately, we still had to walk up a...steep incline to get there. Once we were inside, it was very busy and hard to find a seat. We had to wait for people to finish eating and share a table with other skiers. Ordering was cafeteria style and we went up to pick up our food, which were pre-made, such as the pot pies, soups and chilis. The made to order food were hot sandwiches. They offered alcohol on site. I ordered the Goulash, which was a meat stew with vegetables - very filling and warming. My friend ordered a hot ham and cheese (Gruyere) sandwich, which was an open faced sandwich, more like a French Croque Monsieur. The cook forgot to make the sandwich so gave my friend a $5 voucher for his next meal. Unfortunately, they placed large outside tables in front of the windows, so we did not get a great to see the view, which was phenomenal. We would have eaten on the outdoor deck but it was too cold and windy outside.More

Nothing fancy but warm and friendly on a cold day. Good food and friendly staff. Exactly what is needed.
