Really tasty Mongolian style BBQ. The service was great, the ingredients were fresh, and the taste was fantastic. We went there for lunch, and were seated right away. All in all a great experience

Average food/ over priced Not traditional Mongolian food but kids had some fun with the chefs as they cooked the food in front of us, teppanyaki type vibe. Staff were friendly and we were seated after approx a 30 minute wait on a Sunday night....Seven people in our group with four alcoholic beverages between us and the bill was $385 CAD. No real desert options and we were in and out in around 40 minutes. Overall the experience was average and the cost was simply too much. Look for other options in the village.More

We were brought here to eat by the guide of our small group tour . It was nice food but very expensive for the amount we had. Thankfully the guide told us we’d get rice at the table as by the time our bowls were...weighed prior to cooking , it sure added up. The staff were nice , entertaining with the tricks on the grill and it was a fun night but really it’s just an overpriced stir fryMore

After looking at some other restaurants, we settled on this one. Easy to find, upstairs. Welcome was warm, shown to table and everything explained I feel you must go with the half price offer, when you buy drinks otherwise it would be very expensive Food...choices are excellent, don’t over fill your bowl, it soon adds up and better to get two smaller portions than one big plate, that way you can vary your choices Salmon, chicken, beef, prawns all with great choice of veggies and noodles Nice jasmine rice served at tableMore

Stay away! There is a reason that that it has 2/3rds of its tables available on a Friday evening when every other restaurant in the Village has a one hour waiting list. I am very suspicious about the "great" reviews they have. For anyone that...has eaten in a "Mongolian" style restaurant, this is NOT it! Sure, they have the same concept, choose your veggies, protein and sauces and a "chef" will stir fry it for you on a big Mongolian style grill. What is different is that this restaurant weighs your food and charges a ridiculous amount of money for the food, about CAD 77 a kilo or about CAD 30 a pound. So an average bowl of veggies and some meat will run you about CAD 35 -40! That is before taxes. A family of four can expect to pay CAD 200 (before taxes) just for four stir fried bowls of food that would have cost them CAD 80 in any local Asian restaurant. BTW, kudos to the waiters about pre-warning everyone, as they have seen the brunt of angry customers who got blindsided. We personally saw four tables walk off once the waiter explained the "weigh and pay" concept and they saw the CAD 77/kilo price. Now, if this price was for protein only, it would be somewhat understandable. But this includes veggies like bamboo shoots etc., which are quite heavy. So you are essentially paying CAD 77 for a kilo of veggies! To top it all, the restaurant itself is very dark and dingy. It has a very small balcony that has about 5 tables. The rest of the tables are in a dark cave environment. "Fine dining" it ain't. Far from it. Stay AWAY! Again, bottom line. If you are in Whistler Village on a holiday/weekend etc, and this is the only restaurant that has seats available when EVERY other restaurant including really expensive white table cloth restaurants have one hour waiting, ask yourself "why". I have been traveling for about 35 years independently. Worst restaurant overall, taking into account the dingy environment and the scammy rate policy.More

This is a great concept. They give you a bowl, and you select your own fresh ingredients, including your meats, protein (including tofu), and sauce. They weigh it so you know how much it costs. It's then cooked in front of you. Served with as...much rice as you want. Great on holidays to get a good feed of vegetables.More

The Mongolie Grill not only has amazing food, it also provides an entertaining eating experience. You are given a bowl which you fill with your favourite ingredients. It is then weighed by one of the chefs who proceed to stir fry it in front of...you, adding theatricality with juggling the spatulas and creating your dish. The food quality was excellent. Would recommend for both the food and entertainmentMore

The food was fresh and there were a lot of options. The service was prompt and friendly. My family all enjoyed their dishes; however, we found it overpriced. My average sized stir fry, which I had to get myself, was $45. If the price was...halved, I would rate this review higher.More
