Have dined here on many occasions in the past....for this review, dined here in early August during covid with family. Reduced menu - wife had starter salad (Ortolana) which she said was very good and I had Arancini which was excellent. Had pastas for mains - as usual Spaghetti Quattro was excellent; I had Gnocchi Al Pomodoro which was a miss (bland). Waiter was very friendly but lacked the level of service expected at a restaurant at this price point - dining experience rushed and had to ask for wine list and if there was any specials outside the menu on my own instead of waiter managing the dining situation. Overall though very good but could be better. I understand the entire kitchen and staff may have turned over partly due to Covid recently which may have contributed to dining experience not being quite up to past experiences.

Where to start! New owner, New restaurant design, New menu! All unbelievable. The new changes make the restaurant feel warm and cosy. The service is excellent from the moment you sit down, everything on the menu was described in detail, the cocktails are like magic, one old fashioned out of a smoked box and a gin cocktail that changes colours right before you eyes! Now onto the antipasto platter, well it’s unbelievable a selection of everything a person could ever want from prawns to pate, Parma ham to radicchio bocconcini all melt in your mouth!
For the main I just couldn’t decide so the super accommodating server made me a mini selection of all the items I wanted and even after trying all of them I still couldn’t pick.. the Cornish game hen galleto al mattone melted in your mouth and pared with pesto was astounding. As smaller side plates the gnocchi al pomodora was little balls of comfort (which we all need this year) with a flavour explosion!
The tagliatelle bolognese was worth every penny my goodness... so smooth but so much flavour it was like sitting back in Florence on a summers evening!
I couldn’t handle a dessert being so full but my god they were tempting !
You won’t regret coming here
Congrats to new owners for making this place the best food in Whistler! Cant wait to come back!

My wife and I stopped in for a late supper on a Tuesday night at about 9pm.
The hostess was welcoming and friendly and we were quickly seated in the lively and decorious dining room.
She had a fabulous seafood linguine and I had the "8 hour braised bolognese" pasta - it was excellent.
Our server was great and the entire staff were attentive and friendly.
I feel that at this level ($23 for a glass of wine) bread and bottled water should be provided without charge.
Minor issues that prevent me for giving a 5.
We'll definitely return.

Thank you Tim!
We appreciate the kind words. Our bread is baked in house every day by our Baker, which is why we charge for a bread basket. Hope this clears things up a little for you.
Look forward to seeing you soon!

Our family of four had a fabulous meal at Quattro. We had been given a meal as a Christmas gift and chose Quattro while on holiday in Whistler - we were not disappointed. This is a special occasion restaurant and well worth visiting for exceptional food, a great atmosphere and exemplary service. The food was of a very high quality and the menu was interesting - a good blend of classic Italian and Pacific North West cuisine - would thoroughly recommend the Halibut. It is worth the 5 minute walk from the centre of Whistler Village and will be on our must visit list if we return to Whistler.

Waiter was fabulous as was the atmosphere but two of our 4 dishes were very disappointing. My hubbie ordered the giant meatball that was described as “the size of a softball” . It resembled a scotch egg in looks and texture . The outer layer appeared to be breaded and we couldn’t rule out that it hadn’t been deep fried. Once opened it was dry and the crust held its shape like a crater. I would have expected a juicy lucious meatball 😢
My dish the halibut ( $42) Was petit very beautifully cooked but slathered with a gritty pistachio crumb . I think the crumb was also what they used to top the ceasar salad - again very gritty and added nothing to the salad . As for the halibut the textural issues continued with the fava bean base ( not expecting that from the menu description ) and the carrots in the sauce although tiny were almost raw😢
We did not complain because we know covid is playing out horribly for the restaurant industry and we would not have liked them to comp the meals.
I hope they see this and address these issues. Our daughters had seafood linguine and a mushroom pasta both were amazing as were the desserts
Definitely go here but maybe ask about the preparation of that meatball 😂

Overrated. Mix up over time of booking and still waited over an hour for our starters. Sat below an air conditioning vent so in a cold draught. My blackened cod was good, but served in tepid bowl with an almost cold accompaniment. The dizzy meeter greeter then couldn’t find my coat when leaving. There are better restaurants in Whistler than this who seem to discriminate against parties of two.

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion.
I'm sorry to hear that you feel that the experience did not meet your standards, or those that might accompany our restaurant. We strive very hard each and every day to deliver a fantastic experience to all our guests, regardless of the table size.
It's of my opinion that your description of a staff member in their first week of employment, during the busiest week we've experienced since the pandemic, to be slightly harsh. But I do apologize for any delay you may have experienced in receiving your coat.
The Merluzzo Nero is a stand out favourite since its introduction on our Winter menu, and yes, there is a part of the garnish (celeriac) that is served at room temperature, alongside the fish and the agnolotti. This is kept chilled to meet food safety standards and brought up to room temperature to during plating. Perhaps, due to the hustle of the evening, it needed an extra minute to rise before sending. I am sorry that in this case it came out sooner than that.
We will have to inspect our air conditioning as it has been set to 22.5C since December and there should not be cold draughts in the restaurant. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I'd like to welcome you back another time, to show you the Quattro experience we're renown for, and is frequently shared on TripAdvisor.

Absolutely fantastic food, service and ambience. Portions are more than plentiful and every part of our 4-course dinner was to be talked about. The service (thank you Michael for your direction!) was second to none with another server assuring the water glasses were never empty. The chefs were particularly attentive to specific dietary needs and the bonus birthday aperitifs at no charge were generous as well as tasteful.
Our first, but not last, time here. HIGHLY recommended. To boot the 4-course special was beyond what we expected. If seeking a FINE Italian food experience that isn’t stuffy (with the classic Sinatra playing to candlelit tables), go here.
Deelish!

After starting to eat plant-based I’ve been to Quattro a couple times with my partner who also eats vegan. It remains among my favourite restaurants in Whistler. Even though they do not have anything on the menu that is explicitly vegan, they are more than accommodating. There are at least 5 items on the menu that they are able to accommodate and make vegan. What we ordered was delicious, vegan Spaghetti Quattro and vegan Mushroom Truffle fusilli. To start we had the warm olives, bread with olive oil and basaltic, and Rucola salad. Sooooo good. The service is the best around. Highly recommend. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because they don’t have vegan specific starters and mains on the menu, which for an Italian restaurant should be pretty straight forward.

Thank you for the review! We are always trying our absolute best to accommodate all dietary concerns, perhaps in the future we can have vegan specific options, however at this stage we are happy with our service and culinary team's ability to creatively make up dishes on the fly to meet all dietary requirements.

I had by far the best service of my life at Quattro's. Thank you Mark for going above and beyond. Not only did he and the rest of the staff make sure everything was perfect, they also came by to top up our glasses (from the bottle of wine we ordered) which was very unexpected. The food is also very good, however, the serving size leaves a bit to be desired, especially from an "Italian" restaurant. I've spent lots of time in Italy and have never asked for a desert menu while there. I would still highly recommend Quattro based on the service and quality of the food.
If you're hungry and care about service. This is the place.
If you're STARVING, maybe consider somewhere cheaper

Thank you for the kind words; I'll be sure to let Mark know he is doing an exemplary job!
Being a fine-dining restaurant our menu certainly is designed for multiple courses; though there are particular dishes that are portioned on the larger side. Might I recommend our Ossu Bucco, Galleto al Mattone, or even our Fusilli Tartufati if you are famished :)
Hope to see you soon!

Thank you Quattro for an amazing meal and experience. The fine food, lively atmosphere, and friendly, engaging and ultra attentive service sets Quattro apart. Started with the antipasti platter which was an extraordinary assortment of flavours (smoked trout was a favourite, but everything on the plate was special). Little extras made the evening - for example, we started with a glass of white wine each, and received our orders plus an extra ounce pour of another wine we had inquired about when deciding. We brought a special bottle of our own for the main course, which was served to us in an oversized decanter (one of many proudly shown to us by our sommelier, Matt). Melt-in-your mouth gnocchi and tagliatelle, clearly freshly hand made. Salted chocolate tart for dessert with different glasses of grappa. Special kudos to our server, Claire, and to sommelier Matt, for making the whole evening particularly special. Thank you.

My friends and I went during the 4 courses for $44 special.
Kelly was our server and she was very attentive and informative about all the food - which was absolutely delicious! You must get the antipasti when you're there.
The restaurant is warm and inviting, and all the staff including the managers are very welcoming and attentive checking in on you.
Highlight of the meal was the antipasti, and the Bolognese which is to die for!
I've had their Spaghetti Quattro in the past as well which is also delicious, not had anything like it in an Italian restaurant before.
Would recommend to anyone visiting Whistler

Came on a weeknight, early, no reso, Empty restaurant but it started to fill up.
Didn't get very prompt Water refills, i had to start drinking my friend's water.
Server gave a Good description of menu, friendly service, not rushed.
Carpaccio was a small portion, very thin and delicate but it had so much salt on it, in large flakes, and just too much of it generally. Every bite had crunchy salt flakes.
My friend had a Big portion of pasta and said it was good, but also salty and he felt thirsty afterward.
We sat by one of the patio doors and it was cold.
Overall wasn't super impressed, but it's standard for Whistler.

Hi Sam,
We are usually booked out 3 - 4 days in advance, and we do try our best to seat walk ins when we can. Glad to hear you were one of the lucky few :)
We are facing staff shortages like most other restaurants and try to limit our reservations to ensure that the Quattro standard is kept high. Therefore I am very sorry to hear you found the service below par. We will take your feedback into consideration for our capacity going forward.
Regarding the food, we don't recall you bringing this to attention during your visit. Please refer all feedback good and bad to the service team on hand and we'll always have a Manager attend to your call.
Sorry to hear about the cold weather! It's been awfully hot most days here in Whistler. Hopefully next time you visit it will be warmer.

The ambience is so nice, the staff are great, wearing masks and social distancing and the tables are nicely spaced out. I love the new decor, it’s brighter and warmer than before. The menu is amazing, you have to have the antipasto plate, it’s incredible! I had an old fashioned and it came in a smoke box, the flavour was great and it was a really cool piece of theatre. The Osso Buso falls of the bone and is delicious, the Bolognese is so good.
It has the best tiramisu in whistler too! Our server was very polite, helpful and knowledgeable, the service was great with check ups and refills.

We have been long time fans of this restaurant but hadn't been in a while due to Covid and the fact the ownership changed hands and they did a few renovations. But when it re-opened we started to hear whispers of how good it was and then I saw a few interior photos on line. Well we were very curious so we went in last night and were blown away by our whole experience! The food was always very very good there in the past but the new Chef and his Team have added some new items and elevated the old ones! My wife loves the truffle pasta and always has it. Last night was the best one she's had. Our daughter is Celiac snd they had lots of gluten free options for here to choose from. I had the Veal Saltimbocca and it was served with the creamiest pollnta I've ever had! Well done Jay, James and Team!!!
