I really do not want to let the cat out of the bag, but why not everyone should share in the love that we get from Steeps. Every morning before we hit the mountain there is always someone in the family asking what time do...we meet at Steeps. Fortunately my brother -in-law or myself have always tried to make a reso every week to visit and have lunch with the exemplary hostesses, bartenders, servers, and chefs. Currently they have a limited menu due to covid, but what they do offer keeps us throughly happy to return each week. A nice touch would be if they could alternate the special each day between only two choices, and also a leafy salad, but whose complaining we are just happy being there. The food is always fresh, well prepared and they offer a varied selection on the limited menu which works out quite nicely. One has to remember that they are working with limited staff and resources, so accept the fact that there is limitations on what they can produce hence the smaller menu. The magic begins when you are greeted by one of the lovely hostesses behind the barriered Plexiglas mic'd screen like at money mart....safety first:) You are met by the wonderful ladies who will manage your reservation, and then escort you into the restaurant to your table. The servers are one of a kind, as the treatment, small talk, and service makes for always a great afternoon that keeps us coming back. What can I say about the bartenders, the proof is in the pudding with "Top Shelf" service, variety of cool drinks and also consistency. Thank you Steeps staff and a big should out too.....Grace, Sara, Vanessa, Tess, Paul, Lorna, Becky, Steve, Rob, and Victoria. Thank you !!!! L & G and family. PS- they are very vigilant on the following safety protocols so please respect as this is the reason they are still opened.More

Loved this place. Got a great window table and enjoyed the sparkling wine, the hummus and crudite starter, the fish curry and the chocolate pudding. Service was good and the price was not unreasonable for the location.

I absolutely love steeps - the food is excellent! the truffle fries are TO DIE FOR and the burger is awesome. There is a great selection of cocktails and drinks and the bar staff are great fun and excellent at making recommendations. I would recommend...sitting at the bar cause it's a really friendly vibe up there. The views are amazing as well. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny. Also the Banh Mi sandwich is also greatMore

Great service and great food for an elegant on mountain dining experience. We had both the short ribs and the short rib poutine. While the poutine was good and novel, we thought the standard short rib was better. It was terrible weather outside so we...were glad we made reservations first thing in the morning. As lunch was nearing the end, the waiters came around and let us know the gondola was closing due to weather. That was very nice as some of our guests were older and it would have been a miserable ski down.More

Very nice place. Good food. Good to sit down. BUT whole place smells like truffle!!! They just make fries with it but it seems as if every dish is prepared with it.

In twenty-something years we always try to come to Steeps at least once - it used to be rather more. It is difficult to criticise: the food is excellent, the bar and wines are superb, the staff generally OK. But it feels dark (bizarre considering...the high ceiling) and somehow soulless. We infinitely prefer Christines on Blackcomb - it just feels brighter, more welcoming and somehow more alive. To be fair, if we didn't love Christines we would be pretty positive about Steeps - I feel guilty being negative.More

I went with a recommendation and had the dish on the left, it was fabulous. my husband got the hamburger and it was okay, but you can probably get a hamburger just around the corner for half the money that's still really good. Look at...the menu first and make sure it fits your wallet. If you can make a reservation, ask for a window with a view.More

Steeps Grill & Wine Bar, while far inferior to Christine’s on the neighboring mountain of Blackcomb, does do the job of feeding a hungry skier. The food does in no way delight a patron and neither does the service. However, Steeps is definitely a great...alternative to the loud, bustling Roundhouse Lodge. Upon walking into the restaurant, one neither feels impressed nor taken care of. The Atmosphere of the restaurant could be described as dark and gloomy which largely contributes to the hesitant feeling of a customer. The severs seem bored and unhappy making the patron feel odd and on edge. My party of five had a reservation that we were about fifteen minutes late for, but we called and were told we could be accommodated. Unfortunately, we were not able to be accommodated right away. We were sat down behind and family of three and were told to wait for our table. They got it ready quickly, but the point of a reservation is to be seated right away upon arrival.More

We needed a place to catch lunch but they were full up. Just as we were about to sit at the bar due to a misunderstanding we ended back up at the front counter waiting for a table and Vanessa made it happen. Our server...was Becky and she was fantastic. James also brought us samples to try which were very yummy! Make a reservation to get in and enjoy the five star food at this place simply incredible! Highly recommended for the food and the view. Try the butternut squash soup or the burger! Two thumbs up!More

We ended up at Steeps because there were no seats anywhere in the Roundhouse Lodge to eat. We had braised shortrib, mac & cheese, truffle fries and children’s burgers x 2. The kids weren’t happy with the burger patty because it looked liked “worms” and...didn’t taste good. After tasting it, we’d have to agree and wish we took photos. However, the truffle fries were glorious! The Mac & Cheese and Shortrib were delicious as well. Kids loved the shortrib too! Great view. Wonderful staff. All restaurants should test their children’s menu on kids.More
