We enjoyed apres' fondue for a large group and we all shared! It's pretty expensive when you start ordering other items and the recommendation about the size of fondue was way too much! As a result, it cost a fortune and we couldn't eat half of what was brought. Other than that, though, it was enjoyable and we'd do it... More

This restaurant is part of the Crystal Lodge and the food and service are great! We went for the late afternoon cheese fondue and had lots to eat with excellent friendly service. The staff obviously enjoy working here and it makes for a wonderful dining experience

My husband and I had already become accustomed to missing out on tables at restaurants in Whistler Village over the previous evenings of our trip so ventured out early to find this one. And what a find it was! Fantastic service, persuasive enough but not too in your face. Great knowledge of the menu and pairing with appropriate beverages. Lovely... More

Conveniently located in the middle of whistler village, we went here early so managed a walk in. Although the restaurant itself is bright and airy, there is an ambience of it being a tapas bar. The presentation of the food was lovely for a salumeria. As it was lunch, we ordered sandwiches, wine, salad and an extra plate of salami.... More

We booked a last minute, spontaneous trip to Whistler for a weekend getaway, and boy were we lucky that our hotel was able to get us a last minute reservation to Basalt. We started our meal with a charcuterie platter of exquisitely cut salami tartufo and bresaola (I highly recommend the bresaola). We paired that with an excellent pilsner that... More

Tasty dinner at Basalt. Nice mussels, cod and steak. It is a smaller restaurant and fantastic staff and service. Only problem was that we were sat at a very small table behind a large pillar and could not see the rest of the restaurant. The food and service made up for it.

A great position in the middle of the Village. Sit outside for a pre dinner drink by the fire then slip inside for the creative menu sourced from local produce. Its busy but its worth it Our Aussie hostess Kate gave us more tips about Whistler than the Tourist Centre and treated us like long lost family We were too... More

Although small, Basalt serves great food from a selective menu. A lovely place to stop in the heart of the village either for tea/coffee or lunch. The menu is very creative with numerous options all well executed and served fresh. Good service and personable staff.

The restaurant was busy but it took nearly 40mins before we got a drink, let alone take our orders. The service throughout our stay in Whistler has been amazing, which made this experience all the more disappointing. I found the waiter quite unfriendly, nearly rude. The food was good. Was just so disappointed by the service we received.

Went for lunch on our first day of arrival into whistler. Food was good, but exceptionally slow. Took over an hour for a burger and panini. Could be an issue just that day that we were not aware of. So you should consider trying it out.
