Bar Oso is a Spanish tapas bar in the middle of Whistler. They don't take bookings so it is a case of leaving your number and waiting to be called. Was it worth the wait oh yes it was. The food is fantastic as is...the service. We sat at the bar which was a nice experience and in fact a little less crowded than sitting at the window. We finished the evening with a cafe con crema cocktail which was perfect. Very happy to recommend.More

Arrived at 6.30 pm for our son's birthday. We were placed on the waiting list and informed, abruptly, that there was 45-60 min wait. We came back after 60 mins but gave up another 40 mins later. The unprofessional Front of House failed to make...eye contact, failed to organise the seating (as more than 12 people left while we waited the last 40 mins) and they just kept looking at their ineffective computer system and telling other prospective clients there may be a 30-60 min wait. The grumpy manger then took offence at my suggestion we had been wildly misinformed at the outset; rather than apologising and consider training her staff a little better. Son's birthday ruined. Avoid until they come up with a sensible booking system.More

Nicely appointed bar with a nice atmosphere and great service. Only stopped for a gin and some nibbles - but was treated like I was there for a full dine-in.

Fancied tapas and here was top on TA. Overall the food was good but the tortilla espanola was a big disappointment tasted like greasy pastry no sign of egg & potato. The montadito’s though were outstanding, portions are small so don’t go hungry but great...for drinks and nibbles.More

The seta croquetas were excellent. Also, we loved the crema catalana. Our waiter was very professional and amiable. We had a great time at Bar Oso.

We had a fantastic meal at Oso. We had a selection of wine by the glass with quality recommendations from the bar staff. We ate a selection of tapa plates including a delicious cheese board. Well worth what you pay.

I cant stress enough that you cant go there hungry!!! The plates are extra small, skipping a bit of the traditional spanish tapas, which are not big enough for a main but not too small as not to get you slightly filled. That said, the...octopus and the tuna are outstanding!! The service was very good and the place itself is cozy and nice. I’d skip the shrimps as they are just okay but overall worth it! Great place for a couple’s night out.More

Arrived in Whistler for a 3 night stay and was looking for somewhere to eat. Lots of restaurants to choose from, and also, as it is off-season, many are doing dining deals. We fancied tapas or similar and opted for Oso. You can't book in...advance, so we turned up at the door. The restaurant was full, but the front of house took our number and would text when space was available and was told it would be 15 mins. We went for a walk and was messaged within minutes! We were seated at the bar. The whole place had a vibrant feel about it. The barman who served us was (English, from Horsham) really personable and was clear in explaining the offers to us. We opted for the Charcuterie board and added the cheese version too and also bread. The food was excellent and was more than enough for the two of us. There was also an offer for a carafe of wine which was more than passable. All in all a good meal out at a reasonable price.More

A new location for us. Very personable service (hostess and barkeep) without the fake cloying feel - EXCELLENT drinks (Oso Sour ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) - very nice layout. Food looked great but we were concentrating on drinks. :)

The food deserves a 5 but the servings are so small that it is quite expensive if you are hungry. My husband appreciated the local vodka for his martini. Favorites were the Lamb Albondigas and the roasted beet salad.

Amazing experience at bar oso last week! Holly, the manager/hostess took great care of us from the moment we walk through the doors. Jono, our bar server was very knowledgeable of the food menu and directed exactly where we wanted to be. Most importantly, Max,...the bartender was very good to us. As a fellow bartender, he was so great in conversation about different spirits and aperitifs. He let me make a signature cocktail of my own and made our experience a 12/10. Thanks, Oso! Looking forward to sitting at this bar again soon.More

Every time we are in Whistler, we always try to pop in for a few tapas and of course, one of Bar Oso’s fabulous cocktails or a Spanish Tempranillo. Such a cool spot! Attentive, engaging, and friendly service make you want to return. The prawns,...steak tartare, and salads were delicious! Great place to hang out on a rainy or snowy day. C&CMore

No. It's a delightful place but it's not setup for large groups and the menu isn't kid-friendly.
