This was our first time here and it was a wonderful experience! We arrived around 9:30am on a Friday and it was pretty busy, we got the last table available. We had to wait a smidge for the menus to come, but then someone came,...apologizing right away for the wait. Our family of 4 ordered the Basic breakfast for me, my husband the hunger platter and then our 2 kids got another hunger platter to share. It was more than enough food for all! When I was ordering, I wasn't sure about the shredded hash browns and our waiter said I could get fruit instead, or he could just bring both for me. So sort of like an "appetizer", he brought a big bowl of fruit for us, which was great to tide us over until our meals came. The hash browns were really good! I've never had shredded hash browns that were that good! And my over hard eggs were cooked to perfection. And when the bill came, we weren't even charged for the fruit, AND they dropped off free cookies for us as well. Wow! The food and service were excellent, we highly recommend this place!More

We stopped in yesterday for lunch. It was our first visit but definitely won't be our last. We were so pleased with the tasty and well executed food, efficient and friendly service and general welcoming vibe of this restaurant. We chose the soup of the...day, a beer cheddar soup. It was creamy, full of flavour and very satisfying. Next up were fish tacos. Best we have had in a long time. Lots of fish with crunchy, fresh vegetables and a refreshingly tangy dressing. We enjoyed our Little Scrapper IPA craft beer. Our server was very friendly and clearly skilled at her job. It's great to see a server at the top of her game! Covid19 protocols were evident and the restaurant was very clean. It's centrally located and a very charming, old school experience with simply great food.More

We now have been to this restaurant ;many times and it'll be hard to stay within the 1500 character limit! If you are looking to dine in a place with the fanciest curb appeal and decor, go elsewhere. This place reminds us of many small...town restaurants -- clean, functional, but somewhat aged. We loved the old bills placed under glass on the tables -- very nostalgic. But, you're here for the food and whatever we ordered, it was superbly prepared and presented. The serving personnel are friendly, hospitable, and very helpful if you must ask about certain dishes. We have been there for lunches only and have taken advantage of their lunch specials. They do have an AYCE soup and salad bar which I will definitely try as a good variety is present. It's difficult not to take notice of other people's delicious-looking orders as they are carried past your table -- but there are no wrong choices here! We are particularly fond of the Guacamole Wrap that comes with super hand-cut fries and a very nice coleslaw. The wrap is fully-packed -- about 2 inches in diameter! Another fav is the Honey Chicken Pecan Salad that is loaded with great ingredients although the chicken was sliced thin so was a bit dry. The fish tacos are a big hit (everyone at our table ordered them!) that are crammed full of veggies and breaded cod. Try the Chicken Club wrap with onion rings -- also a treasure of flavour. The coffee is fresh and robust. All meals are substantial and worth every cent. Enter and enjoy!.More

Loved loved their potatoes.... and the scrambled eggs were awesome. My daughter had the hot chocolate which she says was awesome. She had pierogies instead of the brunch and they were spot on.

I was in Brandon with four other individuals and we were ready to depart but decided to stop at this restaurant for lunch. One of our group had been here in the past and recommended it. Three of our group had the lunch special (fish...tacos and soup) and the third had a sandwich and soup. I have the beef and barley soup and it was great. I normally do not have fish tacos but I decided to try them this time. I was not disappointed. While I am not a fan of the hard shells, the tacos tasted great and I didn't make too big of a mess with the shells. All in all, I would definitely order both in the future. The rest of our group enjoyed their meal and were of the same opinion. This restaurant is a breakfast and lunch only restaurant, but if you can, you should try it.More
