In addition to Georgian food, we offer dishes from Armenia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Although Georgia is the birth place of wine making, weare the only place in Manitoba where you can drink Georgian wine. In addition to our unique wines, we offer a broad selection of outstanding Belgian, Austrian and German beers.

Georgian Restaurant provides very friendly environment,excellent service and it feels for me like I am at hometown. It tastes exactly like food in my hometown.
People working at the restaurant are very nice,food is unique and tastes amazing.
Also I like Idea that you can preorder lots of food you like and fees are very affordable.

Yesterday we had a birthday dinner for six people. They seated us at a table with a nice view. We ordered the “Georgian Supper” and the food was just amazing. The kitchen staff was kind enough to offer vegetarian options as well for one person at our party. We also enjoyed the selection of Georgian wines.
The servers were courteous and attentive. We were also pleasantly surprised when Chief Larysa personally talked to us after the party and wished a happy birthday. Saperavi is a great restaurant to spend some quality time at.

This restaurant provides excellent Georgian cuisine, pleasant servers and a sophisticated flare with a professional violinist on the special occasion of Valentine’s Day. Be sure to order the traditional flatbread with a cheese and egg centre. . The bread comes hot from the oven. Also , try the lamb stew. Perfectly spiced and ample in serving. A great place to spend the evening

We ate there yesterday with another couple. The food was very good but the service was awful. Each couple ordered an appetizer to share and mains. My wife and I got our salad fairly quickly while our friends waited at least another 20 minutes for their appetizer. A long time later, they received their mains but ours didn't come out for at least another 20 minutes. No explanation from the server. Finally I had to find her and ask why our friends received their food and we didn't. Shortly after that our mains finally arrived (our friends had long since finished theirs)-and mine was cold! I had to send it back and wait for at least another 20 minutes for a replacement. I could see the same thing happening at other tables-meals weren't brought out for the whole table at once but bit by bit over a long time. The kitchen is obviously very disorganized and can't handle the restaurant being busy.

Take out order during a visit to Winnipeg. Food was okay, but didn't really feel authentic Georgian which I've had many times in Armenia. But price was my biggest issue. For example for take out, kebab dish was 28$, content was literal plain rice and 2 pieces of medium size meats. I wouldn't even call them kebab, more like Russian style katleta.

This was an amazing find. A wide selection of international beers and wines. We had a Georgian red wine that I’m going to buy for home. The variety of both vegetarian and meat dishes will satisfy everyone.

We have gone to this restaurant a few times. I'll say first that the food is excellent. But patronizing a restaurant is more than about liking the food. I've noticed previously that the waitresses are scantily dressed - more like what you'd expect at Hooter's than at a restaurant serving expensive food. I've wondered if they're choosing to dress like this or if they're being told to dress like this. The last time we visited there were two older, lecherous looking men seated with two young girls in the main part of the restaurant. They were throwing back shots and the girls were making constant trips to the washroom. The group was intoxicated and the whole situation seemed suspicious and untoward. We don't go out for a nice dinner to be affronted with an offensive situation like this. Next time we will patronize a more respectable establishment.

We go to this restaurant as a couple, and with a company (colleagues at work). And every time we are very satisfied. This is probably the best Georgian restaurant in Winnipeg. The last 8-9 months have become especially noticeable. The food in this restaurant is much tastier and healthier than in fast food restaurants.
We always come here for the signature dishes. I especially liked the khachapuri, and my colleagues also liked khinkali.
Although, to be honest, I still liked the borscht. :)
For such delicious food, I want to thank all the staff and especially the chef, because the work of the restaurant and the kitchen depends on the chef.
It will be my birthday soon so I will try to come here with my friends. Great establishment, great chef, delicious food!!

My family’s and friends’ favourite restaurant in Winnipeg is the first Georgian food restaurant - Saperavi. I was born in Georgia, and know the Georgian cuisine very well.
Saperavi is a unique place, with an excellent staff, a very pleasant atmosphere and fantastic choice of food! I feel like I am back to my native country Georgia. The choice of wines is perfect. If you once try Kindzmarauli, Khvanchkara or Mukuzani-you will never drink anything else.

It was the second time I visited Saperavi and I can't find any words to describe how much I like it! The traditional taste of soft and warm khachapuri adjaruli which then is being replaced by sweet flavor of Georgian wine leaves me speechless. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. I find the interior pretty authentic at Saperavi, and that makes the atmosphere even better. Waiters were attentive and caring. Definitely worth paying a visit!

We visited this restaurant for the first time and we are not disappointed! The food was delicious (also for vegetarians), service very friendly and pleasant. It takes a little bit time until you get your order but I prefer it that way before fast service and bland food like in other restaurants. It is worth the money and wait time. Thank you, we will come back again!

Nice location, beautiful ambiance good service and excellent food. If you want to have a real Georgian taste it is a must to visit this place. We tried Georgian Supper - cheese bread and garlic chicken were super delicious, as everything else. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is clearly understaffed. My husband and I came on February 16th at 6:30 and waited for 25 minutes without anyone available to take our order. If you are seated by the front of the restaurant, where the waitresses aren’t directly walking past you, you might as well be on the street - they clearly aren’t/can’t pay attention to their surroundings. At that point we left since since we didn’t want to risk making this an unnecessary 3 hour dinner.

I was very disturbed upon reading your review and spoke with the staff that worked on the 16th . I was also at the restaurant on the day in question. No one recall seating you. To ensure that customers are promptly served, we have a sign posted asking customers to wait "to be seated". Nonetheless, it is unacceptable if you waited 25 minutes for service. This is indicative of an internal problem which I will address.I contest your assumption that the restaurant was "clearly understaffed" at the time of your visit.
I have also noted that you have placed another review on another site wherein you stated that you spoke with our staff and no one seemed to care. I have spoken with the staff regarding this statement and they have refuted your claim. We work very hard at providing quality of service and regularly review our internal procedures to ensure that customers enjoy their visit to our restaurant. I would certainly welcome the opportunity of discussing your review in person.

My friends and I frequent this restaurant for the unique selection of European beers and wines as well as the delicious food. At this place, you come for the food and stay for the excellent service. My friends and I enjoyed the soko muchrooms, khachapuri, and the chkmeruli; it is the tenderest chicken you can get! The owner and staff made a point of checking on us and making sure that we were enjoying ourselves, as well as just staying for some good conversation. We will definitely be back soon!

Came here on a busy Saturday night without a resveration but the restaurant, in particular the Bar manager Chris, was beyond helpful and accommodating. He was able to get a table together in a timely manner and really took the time to explain the menu and in particular a few delicious stand out dishes. This place is highly recommended
