Always love the cozy atmosphere and the friendly service. I love the Chicken pocket and be sure to get extra garlic sauce for dipping your french fries, which are always served in abundance :-) The meat is sooo flavourful!! The falafels were a bit overcooked...this time but very tasty. Timing is everything when it comes to getting a table for if it is busy they can quickly fill up. Worth it though, definitely!More
This was one of those rare occasions where I finished my meal and wondered if somehow I ate at a different restaurant than the one showing all those 5 of 5 reviews on TA. I knew going in that this would not be gourmet dining,...but the chicken and beef platter I ordered tasted like it had sat under a heat lamp for a couple of hours. A decent portion of food, but super dry meat and rice and a wilted looking tossed salad. Shopping mall food court quality at best. Not for me. .More
This Middle Eastern restaurant offers some nice menu options for lunch or dinner. I ordered the Beef Shawarma Saj Wrap. The Saj Wrap is like a thin Pita. The long, thin wrap came on a wooden serving board. The combination of ingredients was very good....The Beef was succulent and the fillings, such as the pickled Turnip, Humous and Veggies made this a very flavourful wrap. Prices were reasonable and atmosphere was ok.More
Having lived in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon, I know a good falafel and authentic Arab food. Les Saj delivers! With a warm welcome and a smiling chat, I was glad I waited for a table to eat lunch. We ordered chicken shwarma and french fries....So legit! And they even played some Amr Diab music: he is the Egyptian pop star that everyone loves. I will definitely come back when I get a longing for some great tabbouleh or a french fry sandwich! Well done!More
Love atmosphere of the restaurant. It's a nice spot to stop in for lunch. The Arabis shawarma is my favorite I also love the beef donair and the grape leaves. the garlic sauce is delicious and everything seems pretty reasonably priced.
Had my and wife’s order remade 3 times . 1st. Wrap was burned tested like coal. 2nd. they forgot vegetable and sauce and hummus all it head was chicken and burned onions black . I’m not overreacting I’m not picky by any means but it...was black and soaked in oil. I was not gonna eat burned crap. 3rd. And this is about 30-35min from when I originally ordered, wrap with chicken, again forgot Vegies sauce hummus just chicken and oily onions . And in my wife’s wrap there was some kind of burned piece that’s been in the oil tray of the grill for god knows how long. Walked back and the owner tells me “ we remade it 3 times for you what do you else do you want? Here is your money back now leave! “ Here is what I want :MY FOOD MAKE THE WAY I ORDER BECAUSE WE ARE PAYING FOR IT! I was a customer on a weekly basis for years and to get treated like that ? I don’t recommend Les saj To anyone ANYMORE!!!! Look at the size of that wrap. Costco hot dog sausage is bigger! 40 min and ruined dinner and day!More
I grew up in the Middle East and crave great authentic food from there - Les Saj has this! As a vegetarian, I love their falafel... their garlic sauce is SO GOOD! Even their pickles remind me of my childhood - I love them!
Very friendly on the phone. The food was outstanding. I've been a chef over 20 years, and can tell that they use fresh ingredients in Everything. Their donair is better than any I've ever had. (And I lived in Halifax for 2 years) Their homemade...desserts were like nothing I've ever had. Just the right amount of sweetness, and a very slight savoury note that compliments all of the flavours.More

i was the first in line and my food was last served.. I also wasnt expecting that the spinach saj were so sour.
Ordered take out during Covid times. Chicken shwarma was tasty and quite different than most with a crepe like wrap and less chunkier chicken. Enjoyed the flavour and it was well cooked and not dry. The garlic sauce with it on the side wasn’t that...great though (not at all garlicky) nor were the fries. My friend said they’re straight up Costco fries. All in all I thought it was a good enough meal but it wouldn’t be my first choice for chicken shwarma (my go to) given there are much more delicious options. That said it still seems to be a good choice and obviously there are many more items to choose from.More
Nice menu, good prices and portion sizes. I’m on voluntary salt restriction at home and I realize there’s not much you can do at a resto. While we enjoyed the food a lot, I did find it pretty aggressive with the salt.
The restaurant is Winterpeg friendly as you can drive right up to the door in the strip mall it is located in. Plenty of free parking. Very clean establishment with very pleasant and helpful staff. A rarity for this type of restaurant was actual cutlery...and the meals were served on a beautiful wooden plank, very classy. Had two dinners but should have had the dinner for 2 to save a couple bucks, next time for sure. One chicken and one lamb platter. Both were succulent, served up promptly piping hot with fresh bread. I choose tabbouleh as my side salad my partner chose fattoush. I would opt for tabbouleh. Three sauces were provided with our meals I would pay extra for a larger hummus container as it was excellent as were the other sauces consisting or hot sauce and garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was not the best I have had but very good. My partner rated the lamb as 10 as did I for the chicken. Larger appetites might consider asking for extra meat but it was fine for us as rice or fries were included as were pickled veggies. We both choose the rice option. I had tea as well which was served to me again piping hot. A definite must try for those reading this revue and we will be returning very soon.More

Friendly, fast, tasty and fresh. Ordered a platter of spreads and bread to share. Two could make a meal of it for $15. Also ordered falafel so we ended up with enough for a meal for one to take home. Nothing fancy but it doesn’t...pretend to be more than clean and hospitable.More
