It’s family owned restaurant, with friendly service and great homestyle cooking, their barbecues platter is delicious. The menu has lots of variety. There is a good mix of Arabic traditional sweet and savory options, especially the kunafa.
Interior design has very calm coloring and has historical environment that makes you feel relaxed.
Staff was so friendly. Will definitely visit again

This restaurant keeps fairly busy right until closing. I ordered the Grilled Beef/Lamb Kebab in a Pita Wrap. It had Onions, Peppers, Tomatoes, Pickles and Hummus. The Wrap wasn’t very filling and was a bit pricy, but it was flavourful and tasty. I would go back to try other menu items.

Super nice people with an excellent cup of coffee! We were first timers so naturally over ordered. The Manakeesh is approximately 8” round, much bigger than I assumed by the pictures so one is enough for a lunch. My favorite was the Spinach & Cheese Manakeesh, it had a wonderful herb flavor. Also enjoyed the Foule Mudammas, a mashed fava bean dip with fresh pita bread. We had all this with a very fresh side Pali salad. Took home some dessert. Place is very clean. Can hardly wait to go back.

My husband and I came here for lunch expecting a mouth watering meal based on all the positive reviews online and on social media. We were underwhelmed to say the least. The food was very bland. It didn’t have any notable flavours, any kick, or any pizzazz to what we ordered. Monotone flavours. I asked for a drink to be made half sweet (watching my sugar intake) and I couldn’t finish it because it was too sweet. The baklava tasted doughy and was undercooked. The service was poor and we waited over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. No water was offered or available on such a hot day. -sigh- and it was expensive. For two lunches, two drinks, two desserts and tax and tip it was just over $50. Too bad, I had high hopes for this place.

Sorry to hear about your experience. We encourage our customers to advise us when their order is not to their expectation. As for the water, we removed our water stations since the pandemic to abide by health regulations and encourage our customers to purchase bottled water to bring their own. We apologize for the inconvenience. Our prices are to par with restaurant of similar cuisine and are set to ensure a fair wage to your employees.

Not sure if this was an off day but I was not so impressed with my lunch. The chicken shwarna was overcooked and dry (on both of our lunches), the salad was meh, as were the sauces (hummus and garlic sauce). Did not compare by far to Altanour. I have been before and enjoyed something different. Would definitely try something else the next time but won’t be hurrying to order again given the other great options.

My cousin visited this restaurant two months ago and he recommended it to me because of very good food. After my family visited this place, it did not seem as I expected. Shawarma was very dry and had no taste, the rice had no salt or flavor at all, hummus was watery which is the worst I ever tasted in my life.
The kebab was burned and dry like the wood on the dirty plates. When my mom went to the washroom, she saw old woman eating in the kitchen and working without gloves and the dirty dishes were everywhere like a mess, and I don't know what if the health inspector knows that.
I don't really recommend this restaurant despite some high reviews. It seems they changed the staff or recipe in the kitchen... possibly. I do not mind to spend much money for my family, but it's obvious that good paying should come with good service !

Ordered the shawarma feast for our anniversary, had the two sons over. Man when they say feast they mean it , everything was excellent from the shawarma to the salads, the hummus and the desserts. If you order one of the family meals make sure everyone has an appetite because your going to have food aplenty.

Came to Winnipeg for a visit, noticed Yafa Cafe by the warm and catchy decorations.
When I tried the food for the first time I was so happy, everything was great specially Kunafeh as if you are eating it back home.
The staff and owners are super friendly and wonderful, the place is super clean and you will always get the best quality of food.
Yafa Cafe is highly recommended, I would come back to Winnipeg again just to eat there.

We always enjoy this restaurant- casual atmosphere, friendly people and really good food. Fresh food, great spices. Tonight we enjoyed a sample of a new dessert they are introducing - a rice pudding kind of dish. That alone is worth coming for.

Every time I have eaten food from Yafa Cafe, I’ve been blown away by how fresh, delicious, and well portioned the food is. I try to order something different every time, and haven’t been disappointed yet. The knafeh nabulsi and the makloubeh are particularly amazing (but you may want to bring a partner to help you out with finishing them). The food is still fantastic when ordered as delivery, nothing hits the spot on an overnight shift like a shawarma platter. 10/10 restaurant, fantastic food, great staff.

I moved into this area a year ago and have wanted to try Yafa Cafe. I ordered through Door Dash and the food arrived hot and yummy.
This is the kind of restaurant where I will order something different every time I think. There were so many options on the menu and they all sounded delicious. Two standouts in my order was the Musabaha (sort of like hummus dip) - it was so smooth and delicious. And the baklava was incredible. All the other dishes were very good as well, with their own unique flavours.
I can't wait to order again and try more of this delectable food!

I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for something different for dinner. I looked through the menu and everything looked so tasty, The first and second order i made was the spinash and cheese bread and the chicken Shawarma and MAN!!! i cant even explain the taste it was just unbelievable ! and the portion size was more than enough the prices are attractive and very reasonable. The third time i ordered i was like .... im going to try everything on the menu lol . so i ordered my fav spinash bread and tried the Shish Taouq and GRAND SLAM guys it was just delicious! this restaurant gets a 5 star without a doubt!! i will continue my journey in tasting everything on the menu and i ERGE everyone to do the same !

Delicious, tasty and healthy foods. Very kind and pleasant service. I have special autoimmune needs, so am very careful about what food when I eat out. The restaurant had delicious food, and adapted the food selected so I had a filling and great meal out! A rare treat for me. Thanks to the owners and staff.

Stopped in for a quick evening bite on September 19. Fantastic pizza with two different cheeses and two different spices, excellent coffee, and a really good baklava to finish the meal. A couple of tables outside to watch the traffic. The staff were super helpful in choosing something to eat since this was my first time. A definite winner and worth a repeat visit.

Having lived in the Middle East for many years (Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt) I tried to keep my expectations low about eating here. However, it was like being transported back to the Middle East! The lemon, mint juice was PERFECT! I ordered the koshary...my favorite street food in Cairo. The flavors were very very similar. We also ordered zaatar and cheese maanaeesh and it was exceptional. The chicken schwarma wrap was also very good. The prices are very reasonable. The only thing I'd add is some Arabic pop music like Amir Diab!!
