Great place in Winnipeg. In an old hotel. Nothing fancy but quite trendy. We went on a weekend so had a bit of a wait. We had the chicken and waffles and the vegetarian meatball sub. Both were excellent. Great vegetarian options.

A very casual, relaxed, trendy environment. Interior is old, nothing fancy . A bit loud but all the tables were full and for a good reason. If you are a fan of the TV shows like You Have To Eat Here or Diners Drive Institute An Dives.... you need to check this place out. Some unique dishes on the menu...I... More

Located directly across from a more "established" player in the breakfast biz (Stella's), The Tallest Poppy offers a bit of a twist on the morning routine. There's definitely a retro feel here, but although it might not be modern, it's clean and the food is quite good. The service was great - our waitress always seemed to know the perfect... More

I've only had the chicken and waffles here cause they're pretty damn tasty. The waffle could be just a little better, whih is why its onlyba 4/5. Coffee is good too.

Tallest Poppy has great sandwiches served with potato chips and pickles, the chicken & waffles are pretty amazing too . I have been here many times, and the only time I didn't enjoy myself was when I brought the wrong company. If you are big on the visual the tables and chairs are old and mismatched. Also feels like it's... More

It was a bit like stepping back in time with the booths and decor. Service was most pleasant with Hilary as our server. Coffee was great. The beef brisket sandwich was a perfect size and very flavourful. It came with ripple chips (haven't seen those in a long time) and a dill pickle wedge. For a little extra $, you... More

This restaurant is a gem. The menu items are fun and varied and the fusion of unexpected ingrediants makes each choice an enjoyable eating experience. I have eaten here many times both for business lunches and family dining and always had a great meal. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and make great suggestions if you are not sure about... New menu since last time here, and great to see 10am Saturday gets you choice of lunch or brekky. Best breakfast sandwich in city, and the fried chicken is fantastic.

I ran across this place by accident & heard about it so I decided  to try lunch here. The interior is very artistic the tables are all different with different chairs they have paintings on all the walls. I ordered the chicken & matzo ball soup $5.75 & the beef brisket sandwich $11.75. The chicken & matzo ball soup was... More

Went to the tallest poppy for the first time since it relocated from its Old Main Street location. I had heard this place was amazing and I remembered their set menu on Main Street was fabulous. The restaurant is bright and airy and doesn't seem crowded. The service was so good. He was there when we needed him he laughed... More
