So cozy and friendly a perfect little jewel in the Transcona neighbourhood. Prices are very reasonable and food is delicious. We are regulars and highly recommend!

This little cafe is popular so be prepared to wait on the weekends for a table. The breakfast is good. We love the homemade bread which you can also buy for home. Next time I will try lunch. Last serving is 1:30 as it closes...at 2 p.m.More

I was looking for a neat little breakfast place and enthusiastically read the reviews for L'Arche Tova Cafe...sounded great and rated high on the restaurant list for the city. Eggs Benedict was mentioned several times in the reviews and I found them to be a...real disappointment. The eggs were cooked perfectly, soft, as I had requested but the yellow sauce poured over them was a poor imitation of a Hollandaise sauce as was listed on the menu. It was actually unpleasant. The shredded hash browns were white and had none of the 'cooked' taste you'd normally expect from a food that's been on the grill. Service was ok, if a little brusque. The saving grace for this breakfast disappointment was the lovely man who offered to share his table with me as the restaurant was full, with folks waiting outside.More

I'd heard a lot about the Blue Plate breakfast so I had to go there. When reading the menu I noticed the Hungry Ukrainian breakfast & couldn't pas it by. Two eggs, hash browns, bacon, kielbasa & toast (from home-made bread), it's a real plate...full. I was full & happy for the rest of the day. Visited Tova Cafe twice for their Blue Collar Breakfast that comes with eggs, freshly baked bread, potatoes and sausages for less than $6! Not only does the cafe serve up tasty dishes, the social enterprise also provides employment or volunteer opportunities for persons with disabilities....A must visit!More

A group of 9 of us met for breakfast. Reservations accepted. We had a long table in the window. Very clean restaurant with very pleasant service and artwork display ( and for sale). Menu offered some great choices. The blue collar breakfast was on special...for $5.80 (2 eggs any style, toast, potatoes, and your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage). They will substitute tomato slices for potatoes, no charge. The poached eggs were done as requested. The ham was thick cut, lean and very flavourful. The toast was thick cut and delicious. Blueberry pancakes were yummy and full of blueberries. Regular pancakes good as well. Omelettes were also great. Only disappointment was that I wanted to buy some cinnamon buns to take home when I left, and they were sold out! But I bought multigrain bread instead. Great spot! I will return for lunch and sit outside on the sidewalk cafe!More

My wife and I had been told often that we should visit L'Arche Tova Cafe in Transcona for Breakfast. We finally made a point to give this establishment a try... What a pleasant surprise ! Great food... Pleasant atmosphere ... And a very enthusiastic staff......Check this little hidden gem out... No disappointments here !!More

L'Arche Tovas is a friendly and clean restaurant in Transcona. It is always busy but have never had a problem getting a table. They serve home cooked food and the servings are generous. Very tasty. Fairly priced as well.
