Stella's is one of the few restaurants in Winnipeg that you can go to without really being disappointed. Always a fantastic experience. Have dined here for more than 10 times in a span of two years. I can say I really like this restaurant and...I make it a point to order a different dish every time I go. Highly recommended place. They serve what your heart desires -- comfort food!
As much as I love this place, I would advise patrons not to order Pad Thai and Curry dishes. Go for the Mezze Plate, Mexican Breakfast, Beef Chili, Ratatouille, Veggie Lasagna, and Bread Pudding if it's your first time.More
Didn't enjoy it at all. The menu said to choose a salad or soup with the order but the waitress said "the most is $3.00 more to add one of them to the order. I pointed out what the menu stated and she said "it's...cheaper and ordering separate, but it's a $3. additional charge. I said no thanks, but when the bill came it had a deduction of $3.00 because I didn't take the soup or salad. Didn't make sense to me what the waitress said. Food was just warm and not that great. Won't go back.More
My boyfriend and I went to Stellas on a Wednesday morning and it was amazing! The service, food and atmosphere was great. We ordered the mushroom omelette with a hot chocolate and a Stella club with a London fog and we both LOVED our choices!...Our server Amamda was so nice as well! We are from out of town but would recommend to anyone :)More
We shared a smoothie and the server split it in half for us plus extra. It was tasty and fresh. My wife had the cafe breakfast and enjoyed the sides and the eggs and fresh toast. I had veggie baked eggs that was excellent. Yummy...and good. Service was helpful, attentive and quite friendly.More
The vibe here is academia, in a good way. There are people at laptops, textbooks open, notebooks being filled and conversations trending about the University of Winnipeg, just across the street. It's modern, metal and glass with a great view of Portage Street. It feels...like a cafeteria but the table service is quick and friendly. Menus choices meet all needs. Open seating of various sized tables. There's a conversational humm but it isn't loud enough to disturb a close one-to-one.More
