One hour from time of order to food service One bowl of soup.... one salad!!! There was only one other table of three when the two of us walked in. And one of the people from that table had to leave as she had to...go to work as her lunch hour was up. Totally unacceptable.More

A treat to visit the bake oven! The store is filled with so many delicious desserts and deli products. Favourites have always been raisin bread, cinnamon buns and sausage rolls. A birthday celebration would not be complete without a Bake Oven cake. They stepped up...during the pandemic to offer click snd collect. Thank you so much.More

Dropped into Bake Oven for a bite and ended up having their Bruin burger as a late breakfast. Simple, but flavourful burger and really food fries! Friendly staff and great service. The place was full, so that’s telling. Great place for a good meal.

Sure this place has a restaurant and not even sure what's on the menu as the service at the deli counter seemed to be a real bother to serve anyone. I want a huge cut of Balognia and trying to explain why I was there...and what I wanted the male person who seemed to be in charged interrupted me twice saying how can I help you while still talking. In my mind I will just grab my meat amd leave why even bother trying out the restaurant. I get home as this place is only 5 minutes away from home. I make my bologna sandwich and then all of a sudden I decided to take a look on the rapper and it said best before July 17th and today is the 30th. Not very good when a deli does not check their best before or expiry dates so I called back and mentioned it to do the same fella who serve me and also mentioned about his impatience and rudeness when speaking to a regular pain customer.More

I've been going here my whole life with my parents to get Dutch staples that we can't get anywhere else. Decent selection of Dutch cheese but small compared obviously to what you can get in the Netherlands. The grocery selection isn't bad but you definitely...need to check expiry dates as my friend and I were in there once and we were looking at a package of Gado-Gado spice and my friend said it looked a little weird. When I picked it up, I looked at the expiry date and it was expired more than two years. They also sell a small selection of Dutch gifts. During the holiday season they bring in some staples for Sinterklaas so I like to stock up on speculaas. The restaurant is small with a few tables. Every time I've been in there, it's never been busy. I've tried the krokets they have in the restaurant but they're quite small and don't have a ton of flavour. I also find they're very expensive for what you get. You're better off to just buy a package of them from their frozen section and deep fry them yourself at home. In the restaurant I believe they charge around $7 for two krokets whereas they charge about the same for 6 krokets in their frozen section.More

Been shopping there for my Dutch cheeses, herring and spices for years. Now the mini restaurant has added Dutch small appetizers and delicious lunches. Nice atmosphere.

It's been around forever but we had never heard of it until returning from Amsterdam and googling "bitterballen Winnipeg". Tons of imported food in the deli section. "Brown cafe" has reasonable prices and great selection. Three of us had fish and chips; small portion of...chips but fish was fantastic. Herring was a hit. The bitterballen, alas, is not as good as Amsterdam but will do in a pinch. Very friendly service as well. Nice little place.More
